El DT se despidió del Halcón de Varela con una carta luego de ganar la Sudamericana. Sao Paulo, próximo destino.
El 2020 será difícil de olvidar en Florencio Varela: la obtención de la Copa Sudamericana, venciendo en la final a Lanús, supuso toda una epopeya para los dirigidos por «Valdanito». El DT llegó al club en la temporada 19/20 y en poco tiempo logró hacer un equipo competitivo con un plantel de poco renombre. Desde su llegada, Defensa tuvo buenas actuaciones en el torneo local y se afianzó en el plano copero.
Sin embargo, el DT recibió una oferta de Sao Paulo y seguirá su carrera en Brasil. Se mostró agradecido con el Halcón y su gente en una sentida carta publicada en sus redes sociales.

Mientras tanto, desde Defensa anunciaron que Pablo de Muner se hará cargo del plantel a partir de mañana. Ahora Brasil espera con nuevos desafíos al joven DT, cuyo futuro es prometedor. En Varela no lo van a olvidar jamás.
