Editorial. La pandemia marca el pulso electoral
El gobierno confeccionó un documento que analiza las performances de los oficialismos durante la pandemia
Arrancó el año electoral y comienzas las preocupaciones en el gobierno por la posible performance negativa que pudiera tener a raíz de la gestión de la pandemia. Hasta ahora Alberto Fernández y sus colaboradores se mantuvieron en el relato de una épica del combate al virus, dónde Argentina estaba entre los “campeones del mundo” de la lucha contra el coronavirus.
Pero ya se sabe que no alcanza con ilusiones, y hay preocupación en el gobierno dado que, según lo analizado por Santiago Cafiero, la pandemia parece tragarse a los oficialismos. Los ejemplos más recientes son los de EE.UU., Bolivia y Ecuador. En todos ellos, los ejecutivos no pudieron conseguir un buen resultado electoral, y en el caso de Trump y Añez, tuvieron que dejar la primera magistratura.
El gobierno va tomando nota que ya no alcanza con trolls que discutan en las redes, y que un sector importante de su voto está desencantado con la gestión del Frente de Todos, y no sólo en lo económico, sino en distintas áreas que afectan la vida cotidiana de millones de ciudadanos.
El tema más álgido es la inflación, de eso no cabe duda. El bolsillo de la gente suele ser un buen indicador del éxito o fracaso de una gestión, y en este caso, la poda del poder adquisitivo de una parte importante de la clase media hace que podamos decir que Alberto “se fue a marzo”.
En medio de una crisis que amenaza profundizarse aún más, el precio de los alimentos esta erosionando la imagen presidencial, por eso estos días Alberto salió a crear un enemigo a quien descargarle la responsabilidad por los precios de los alimentos: el campo. Pero ya la sociedad no le cree al presidente, su palabra está demasiado devaluada, y es difícil remontar sólo con discursos una merma del apoyo de buena parte de sus votantes, que poco a poco van buscando otras alternativas electorales.
Otro de los motivos de queja, es el ingente gasto público en materia de políticas sociales. Hay un sector de la población, que no es militante, pero que apoyaba a Alberto, o que esperaba algo distinto a lo que ofrecía el macrismo, pero que no ve con buenos ojos como se dilapidan los recursos públicos en sostener familias enteras sin trabajar, dado que esto termina repercutiendo en los impuestos, que cada vez son mayores, en un estado que necesita recaudar para sostener esa política, y comerciantes que ya están asfixiados por la pandemia.
La combinación no es buena, y si había alguna chance que los sectores productivos y comerciales acompañaran al presidente, esas posibilidades se van pulverizando, en la medida que se extiende la crisis y la recesión. Sumado a la percepción de una sociedad que critica, cada vez con más énfasis, un estado elefántiasico cuya carga recae sobre quienes trabajan o producen.
Un gobierno que no supo achicarse, ni siquiera desde lo simbólico. Por el contrario, hizo una “gesta” de la incorporación masiva de empleados públicos a planta permanente, pero con poca transparencia y análisis de factibilidad o idoneidad.
La lista de cuestiones que atraviesan el gobierno de Alberto podría ser, a estas alturas, interminables. Por mencionar sólo una más, el tema de la ley del aborto fue otro de los escenarios que también le resto al presidente. Se sacó una ley en un contexto en el que sólo termino manteniendo contento a los propios militantes, pero no al resto.
Incluso personas que no estaban en contra de la ley, terminaron rechazándola por el momento elegido para la sanción. Veníamos de una cuarentena feroz, que dejó pérdidas terribles de empleo, sobre todo en la clase media, y la decisión de Alberto de sacar la ley si o si, fue vista por una importante cantidad de sus votantes como una perdida del eje de las prioridades.
La falta de un plan, de una visión de futuro es lo que está “matando” al gobierno de Alberto. Pensar que el análisis de lo sucedido en otros países es sólo culpa de la pandemia es ceguera política o incapacidad de comprender los procesos políticos, sociales y económicos que se dan tanto a nivel de cada país, como a nivel mundial. El documento de Santiago Cafiero es una anécdota. Si el gobierno no logra encarar un rumbo que conecte con las necesidades de la gente, y sólo siguen gobernando para los propios, con o sin pandemia tienen la derrota asegurada. Es un gobierno que ya “no enamora”, perdió la capacidad de ser la novedad, y por más enemigos que quiera gestarse para tener un reflejo que le permita posicionarse, hoy necesita más que nunca de certezas que de “cuentos de hadas”. El resultado de las elecciones depende únicamente de las propias decisiones que tome el presidente.
