El presidente habló por cadena nacional para contar a los argentinos que el país no tiene vacunas
Alberto Fernández, realizó una cadena nacional “sorpresa”, aunque no es su estilo hacer anuncios de gobierno desde ese lugar, para contar a los argentinos que la segunda ola de covid19, eventualmente llegará al país, y que tenemos que prepararnos por la escasez mundial de vacunas. En criollo, no hay vacunas, y no saben cuando se van a contar con las necesarias como para vacunar a una cierta porción de la población que permita levantar las medidas restrictivas.
La realidad, es que países como Chile, para no irnos a los países desarrollados, ya lograron vacunar a 5 millones de personas en menos de dos meses, y tienen asegurada una buena cantidad de dosis para continuar con su plan de vacunación. Por eso, y más allá de lo que dijo el presidente, habría que preguntarse qué falló en la gestión como para que lleguemos a este punto.
Por eso hoy nos encontramos en un dilema, y es el que plantea Fernández, o se extreman los cuidados y se restringe la circulación hasta que lleguen más vacunas o se va a otra cuarentena, lo que a todas luces hoy parece imposible. Al parecer, el presidente acordó con los gobernadores realizar una campaña de concientización, restringir la circulación al exterior, y apostar a medidas sanitarias que no perjudiquen la actividad económica, que es algo que espera la mayoría de la población.
Pero ya están avisando que, si el sistema sanitario colapsa, y las unidades de terapia intensiva se quedan sin respiradores la alternativa de volver a fase 1 está en la cabeza del primer mandatario, aunque sabiendo que puede generar un conflicto político y social muy grande en un año electoral cargado de tensión. Y la tensión no es solo por el coronavirus, sino por la agenda gubernamental que está haciendo crujir los cimientos mismos de las instituciones democráticas, por eso, esta noticia, no pudo llegar en peor momento.
Alberto se encuentra en un punto en donde cualquier decisión supone un costo político alto. Si cierra toda la economía como el año pasado el colapso económico, laboral y social va a ser altísimo, y si no cierra y aumentan los casos y decesos, el costo político lo va a tener que asumir su gobierno. Y mucho de este costo tiene que ver con haber anunciado un plan de vacunación para 20 millones de personas que se iba a realizar en diciembre, lo que generó expectativas que no pudo alcanzar, y un desgaste de la imagen presidencial que hoy lo dejan expuesto ante casi cualquier decisión que tome. Cómo sea, la vuelta a fase 1 no es algo que hoy esté en la cabeza de la población, así que extremar los cuidados y una buena política sanitaria, mientras se negocian más vacunas, quizás sea la estrategia más acertada que puede llevar adelante el gobierno en estas circunstancias.
