Coronavirus: cuarentenas focalizadas, restricción de circulación y mucha indecisión para enfrentar la segunda ola
Con más dudas que certezas el gobierno busca encarar una estrategia sanitaria que no afecte a la economía
Volver a una cuarentena como en el 2020 sería casi una utopía. Tras largos meses de encierro, que dejaron una profunda recesión, crisis económica, perdida de empleos, y hasta cierre de comercios, pareciera ser ahora que no alcanza sólo con la salud, y la reflexión del gobierno apunta a tratar de contener el virus, campaña de vacunación mediante, sin afectar demasiado la circulación de personas y bienes.
Es casi cantado que la sociedad no tolera ya medidas de encierro, ni siquiera de restricción de circulación nocturna, como se viene barajando, por eso, Alberto Fernández no descarta nada, pero apuesta a que, si hay que cerrar, sea algo focalizado, y sean las autoridades provinciales las que decidan. Nadie quiere pagar el costo político, en un año electoral, de tomar decisiones, que además de ineficaces, demostraron ser demoledoras en los aspectos sociales y económicos.
No sólo no se detuvo la circulación del virus con una cuarentena de varios meses, sino que se agravaron todos los índices de producción, empleo y calidad de vida. Por eso es clave el pulso que tenga tanto el gobierno nacional como las autoridades jurisdiccionales en este tema. El secreto del éxito será aplicar medidas de contención generando las menores complicaciones para la vida cotidiana de las personas.
El problema de fondo, es que si los casos siguen subiendo, se sopesaran los costos de cerrar frente a los de la cantidad de muertes y contagios que pregona cotidianamente la televisión, porque la política es muy sensible a la presión mediática, con lo cual, las autoridades políticas y sanitarias tienen por delante una disyuntiva y un desafío bastante complejo, y que va a poner a prueba la capacidad del sistema político para resistir los propios laberintos que se ha creado durante 2020.
Imponer una cuarentena forzada, es aceptar que se gestionó mal, que no se consiguieron las vacunas prometidas, más allá del faltante que pueda haber en el mundo, y si no se aplican medidas inteligentes, y los casos siguen subiendo, el costo también será alto. Por eso todavía nadie sabe bien que definición tomar, y siguen barajando opciones en el ejecutivo.
Lo llamativo, es, por un lado, que el gobierno nacional intenta llevar tranquilidad a la población diciendo que no va a haber encierro, y por otro, dentro de la misma coalición salen a decir que no se descarta un nuevo encierro. Unificar los discursos, o dejar las internas para otro momento, será también una de las cuestiones clave para superar un año electoral difícil, signado por el éxito o el fracaso en la gestión de la pandemia.
