Clausuraron una empresa de Villa Mercedes por mala gestión de residuos peligrosos

Se trata de la planta de reciclado Botesa S.A. La misma había sido advertida por el mal manejo de sus residuos previamente.

Hasta regularizar su situación no podrá abrir de nuevo. Créditos: Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Parques.

Botesa S.A fue clausarada transitoriamente por la Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Parques. La firma nunca presentó la Declaración de Impacto Ambiental, y adeudaba el pago de tasas desde 2016.

Asimismo, inspecciones y fiscalizaciones previas constataron irregularidades ligadas a las condiciones de almacenamiento de residuos peligrosos.

La situación representa un peligro para los vecinos de la zona: el mal manejo de residuos afecta el entorno natural puntano y la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos. La solución fue la clausura de Botesa S.A, dedicada al reciclado de plástico.

Así no

Al inspeccionar el lugar, el Programa de Fiscalización encontró bidones vacíos de fitosanitarios y partes de ellos. Se otorgó un plazo para retirarlos, aunque fue desestimado. El uso de material recuperado de estos envases, para elaborar cualquier tipo de productos que, por su utilización o naturaleza, puedan implicar riesgos para la salud humana o animal, o tener efectos negativos sobre el ambiente, está totalmente prohibido.

Ya en 2018 el establecimiento fue sancionado tras no presentar la Declaración Jurada Anual y pago de tasa correspondiente a los años 2016 y 2017. Sin embargo, Botesa S.A aún no regularizó su situación en el Registro Provincial de Generadores, Transportistas y Operadores de Residuos Peligrosos.
