Demoraron a un funcionario oficial en un operativo contra el juego clandestino
Se trata de Gastón Figueroa, jefe del peaje de Buena Esperanza. Figueroa estaba en el lugar cuando la Policía hizo un operativo, en donde encontraron casi un millón de pesos y 1700 dólares.
Este lunes por la madrugada la policía allanó el restaurante El Sultán, situado en General Pico. La jueza María Jimena Cardos fue quien dio la orden, frente a los rumores de que allí había juego clandestino.
La investigación demostró que en el lugar participaban del juego ilegal al menos 15 personas, entre ellas Figueroa -conocido como «Chulo»- y su amigo Simón Ricardo «Churrasco» Ojeda. Ambos son funcionarios provinciales y trabajan en el peaje de Buena Esperanza.
El fiscal General, Armando Agüero, lideró el procedimiento: secuestraron $950 mil y 1700 dólares. El mismo Agüero confirmó que tanto Figueroa como Ojeda serán citados por la justicia pampeana en las próximas semanas. Serán juzgados por participar del juego clandestino.
El fiscal Agüero sostuvo que no hubo secuestro de vehículos ni detenciones, ya que la cantidad de personas en las Comisarías pampeanas es elevada y los riesgos de contagios intracarcelarios son elevados.
A las 3 de la madrugada del lunes, la Policía llegó al famoso restaurante, situado en uno de los principales accesos a General Pico. Comprobaron que la actividad clandestina comenzó una vez cerrado el establecimiento, pasadas las 22. Ahí los asistentes ingresaban por la puerta trasera del restaurante. que ya tiene antecedentes como sede de «timba» clandestina.
Además del delito mencionado, los implicados serán juzgados por no respetar los protocolos, ya que se encontraban en otra provincia fuera del horario permitido de circulación.
Desde la fiscalía informan que el local fue clausurado, y que allí se incautaron además una mesa de juego y fichas.
