La suba será oficializada la próxima semana. Buscará aumentar el margen de ganancia para las distribuidoras, que habían solicitado un incremento más fuerte.

La próxima semana se espera un aumento del gas natural, que será anunciado por el Gobierno. Según fuentes del sector, el incremento será de un 6% y será aplicado en el «Valor agregado de distribución». Este valor es el margen que deja la venta de gas a las distribuidoras en todo el país, que pagarán más caro el gas desde el mes de julio.

Aunque según dirigentes del sector este sería el único ajuste en el año, podría aplicarse otro luego de las elecciones legislativas de noviembre. En ese caso, los beneficiaron serían los productores de gas natural.

Actualmente, el gas es fuertemente subsidiado por el gobierno. Federico Bernal, el interventor de Enargas, ya había anticipado el aumento pese a que todavía no fue comunicado por la Secretaría de Energía.

El jueves el Presidente de la Nación, Alberto Fernández, sostuvo que no quiere un país “donde la gente elija entre comprar un remedio o tener que pagar una factura de luz”.

Originalmente, el aumento deseado por el sector rondaba el 50%, bajo la excusa de hacer frente a la crisis económica. Sin embargo, ese pedido fue desestimado por el Gobierno, que solo otorgó una suba del 6%.

¿Cuándo aplica?

Cómo la oficialización del incremento será en junio, recién a partir de ese momento podrán aplicarlo en sus tarifas. En consecuencia, el gas saldrá más caro a partir del mes de julio.

Por ende, las facturas de gas que cubran el consumo de abril y mayo continuarán sin aumentos. Sin embargo, las de junio si costarán más, porque ya estará aplicado el incremento en carácter de «Transporte y distribución».
