Merlo ya tiene su Banco Solidario Municipal Ortopédico
Fue inaugurado este lunes por la mañana por el ejecutivo municipal y ya cuenta con casi 300 elementos.
Esta mañana la Villa de Merlo dio inicio a su flamante Banco Solidario Municipal Ortopédico, tras su acuerdo con la Agencia Nacional de Discapacidad -ANDIS-. La agencia gubernamental asignó casi $1 millón al municipio, en el marco del Programa de Banco Descentralizado de Ayudas Técnicas.
En la ceremonia inaugural, Álvarez Pinto exhibió los casi 300 elementos con los que ya cuenta el banco. Los mismos ya están disponibles para ser prestados o donados a los vecinos que los requieran. Desde el Banco Solidario Municipal de Elementos Ortopédicos se encargarán de proveer dichas herramientas y ayuda técnica a los vecinos, que podrán usar los elementos de forma temporal o permanente, en función de sus necesidades y circunstancias. El objetivo es bridar estos bienes, de alto costo, a quienes no disponen de los medios económicos para tratarse de forma autónoma.
Del encuentro participaron el Intendente local, el concejal Matías Herrera y la directora de Salud, Educación y Discapacidad, Gabriela Mancilla. El banco ya cuenta con los siguientes elementos: sillas de ruedas de adultos y pediátricas, colchones antiescaras, camas ortopédicas, concentradores de oxígeno, nebulizadores ultrasónicos, andadores, muletas, bastones canadienses, trípodes y para no videntes, chatas, orinales, almohadones especiales y andadores.
Asimismo, gracias a fondos propios de contribuciones vecinales, el municipio añadió 100 elementos más para completar el stock del banco. Sumaron collares, cabestrillos, botas, cuellos e inmovilizadores.
