«Zonas frías»: 360.000 puntanos recibirán descuentos en la tarifa del gas

Los beneficios alcanzarán al 70% de los puntanos. La ley todavía no fue promulgada por el Ejecutivo.

Este jueves, el Senado de la Nación aprobó la ampliación del régimen «Zonas Frías», alcanzando a más de 3 millones de beneficiarios, entre los que se encuentran 91 mil usuarios puntanos. Así, el cuestionado programa de subvenciones beneficiará a unos 360.000 puntanos.

El proyecto fue explicado por los senadores Carlos Ponce y María Eugenia Catalfamo, en diálogo con El Diario. Los legislativos aseguraron que la ampliación del régimen reducirá el precio de las tarifas del 70% de los puntanos.

En este sentido, Catalfamo afirmó: «Se trata de un proyecto que modifica un artículo de la Ley de Presupuesto, que prorroga un fondo de subsidios para el consumo residencial por diez años. Además, amplía el régimen de Zonas Frías con la incorporación de provincias, entre las que está San Luis, con ocho departamentos. Es una medida que se reclamaba desde hace tiempo, al considerar que el territorio atraviesa temporadas de temperaturas bajo cero».

Los descuentos en las tarifas, que van del 30% al 50%, alcanzarán a casi todos los departamentos provinciales. La excepción será el Departamento Ayacucho, ya que consideran que no atraviesa temperaturas tan bajas como el resto de los distritos.

Por su lado, el senador Carlos Ponce aseguró: “Estimativamente, se calcula que serán $800 millones los que se van a ahorrar en la tarifa del gas y sabemos que ese dinero irá a la economía. Nos pone muy contentos, porque quienes ahorrarán en una factura incorporarán ese efectivo en alimentos o bienes y ello favorecerá al comercio”. El mismo Ponce fue quien solicitó la incorporación de San Luis en el mapa de Zonas Frías.

La ley ya fue enviada al Poder Ejecutivo, que cuenta con 15 días para promulgarla. De este modo, se espera la promulgación para el mes de julio. La fecha de aplicación de los beneficios se conocerá en aquel momento.
