La muerte de Laura Vanesa Godoy, la mujer de 32 años asesinada en Tilisarao, conmovió a todo el Valle del Conlara, ensombrecido ante un nuevo episodio de violencia machista. Difícil momento para Ramón y Graciela, los padres de Laura: aunque el temor de la pérdida vive latente en las historias de las mujeres atravesadas por violencia, uno nunca está preparado para ver a su hija en la lista de femicidios.

Movilizados por el deseo de justicia, ayer se presentaron en los Tribunales de Concarán el padre de Laura y Rodrigo, hermano de la víctima, para ratificar sus declaraciones. También pasó por el estrado Cristian «Toty» Alaniz, que se negó a declarar por pedido de su abogado, Bautista Rivadera.

Mientras puertas adentro transcurría la indagatoria, en las afueras de Tribunales el clima era de protesta. Mujeres autoconvocadas y parientes de Laura se sumaron a las integrantes de organizaciones feministas que se manifestaban exigiendo una investigación con perspectiva de género. Una de las mujeres presentes era María Zeballo, prima y confidente de Laura.

Tras consultarle sobre la mujer asesinada, la mujer expresó: «Las personas que la conocíamos nunca dudamos de que a ella la mataron. Jamás pensé que se había suicidado. Tenía muchos proyectos, muchas ganas de vivir. Su principal razón era su hija, que el 3 de agosto cumple 11 años. El domingo pasado estuvo con ella, con sus padres y su hermano, organizándole el cumpleaños a la nena, viendo si hacía una pijamada o si se juntaba en una confitería con sus amiguitas». Un día después, Ramón Godoy y su pequeña nieta encontraron a Laura sin vida en el baño de su casa.

Historial de violencias

Zeballo también explicó que las agresiones que Laura sufría de parte de Alaniz ocurrían hace tiempo.  «Varias veces fue agredida por él, el tiempo exacto no te lo podría decir. Pero antes de que ocurriera esto, hace unas tres semanas, ella había hecho público esto en su Facebook, también había realizado la denuncia y su ex tenía una restricción de acercamiento», sostuvo en diálogo con El Diario. Luego de ese último episodio, la mujer publicó en redes las agresiones que había recibido del joven de 21 años.

Aunque Laura se mantenía firme en terminar la relación, Alaniz la seguía buscando. El joven solía perseguir a la mujer, con quienes tenía deudas económicas. Zeballo relató que una vez «Toty» irrumpió en la casa de la víctima y tomó cosas del lugar, hecho que fue denunciado en redes sociales por la mujer asesinada.

Perspectiva de género: una necesidad en estos casos

Las movilizaciones del viernes contaron con la presencia de la Red contra la Violencia del Valle de Conlara. La organización feminista colgó carteles e hizo sonar sus bombos frente a las puertas del Poder Judicial. El pedido era doble: que el crimen que terminó con la vida de Laura se esclarezca pronto, y que la investigación sea abordada con perspectiva de género.

Mónica Olgiati, miembro de la red, sostuvo: «Nuestra experiencia nos marca que los procesos judiciales no tienen los tiempos ni la perspectiva que merecen casos como el de Laura».
