Enacom rechazará los aumentos para empresas de comunicaciones

El pasado 14 de julio las empresas de comunicaciones anunciaron un aumento en los servicios de internet, televisión paga, telefonía fija y móvil. Las subas, que estaban previstas en para agosto y septiembre, finalmente fueron rechazadas por el Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones -Enacom-. Así lo aseguró Gustavo López. vicepresidente del ente gubernamental.
López calificó de «disparate» el aumento pretendido por las empresas del sector: tiene proyectado un aumento anual que ronde entre un 65 y un 70%. «Con aumentos de ese tipo, amparados por la Justicia, mucha gente se va quedar sin servicio», manifestó el vicepresidente de Enacom.
Con el descongelamiento de precios para las comunicaciones en enero de este año, Enacom autorizó aumentos de hasta un 20% para el mes de julio. Sin embargo, las empresas subieron sus precios un 32%, amparándose en medidas cautelares que frenaron la aplicación del DNU 690. El mismo decreto categoriza a las empresas de comunicaciones como servicios públicos esenciales.
Sin embargo, la aplicación de dicho decreto no se efectúa por las medidas que las empresas dispusieron para subir sus precios. De hacerse efectivo el DNU, Enacom puede regular los precios de los mencionados servicios. En este sentido, López anunció: «Nuestro objetivo era que no hubiera aumentos hasta diciembre, pero las empresas ya anunciaron incrementos para agosto y septiembre. Esta semana nosotros lo vamos a rechazar».
«En este punto no hay diálogo porque cada uno tiene una postura diametralmente opuesta, no hay posibilidad de zanjarlo: o es servicio público o no es servicio público», remarcó el funcionario. Asimismo, señaló que pese a las críticas al DNU las empresas aumentaron sus inversiones en relación a 2019, cuando los precios estaban liberados.
