Entrevistamos Ramiro De Giuseppe: el puntano que creó ladrillos ecológicos
Ramiro es supervisor de obras en construcción y su interés en el medio ambiente lo llevó a crear bloques que integren residuos orgánicos e inorgánicos. Tras 10 años de experimentación finalmente logró un producto fuerte, inoloro, ignífugo y con propiedades aislantes.
La sexta entrega de #EmprendedoresenPandemia nos trae a un vecino de Justo Daract: hablamos de Ramiro De Giuseppe, un puntano dedicado hace años a la construcción. Su creatividad, su experiencia con materiales y su interés en el medio ambiente le permitieron crear un producto único: bloques de construcción ecológicos.
Desde hace 10 años que este puntano se dedica a experimentar y perfeccionar el que cree es un producto revolucionario, ya que no conoce casos en los que se hayan integrado con éxito los residuos orgánicos. Sin embargo, De Giuseppe lo logró y pudo usar algunas de las bondades de nuestra basura en sus bloques de construcción.
Ramiro es descendiente de italianos, y la charla comenzó con unas cálidas palabras en su lengua ancestral. La entrevista se reproduce a continuación:
-¿A qué te dedicas?
-Mi profesión es supervisar obras civiles. Me ocupo de obras de todo tipo: llámese barrios, caminos, represas, diques, y todo lo que se pueda hacer en hormigón.
-¿Cómo surgió la idea de fabricar un ladrillo ecológico?
-Siempre me interesó el ser humano, que está directamente relacionado con el medio ambiente. La ecología fue uno de mis intereses y gracias a la formación que recibí por mi formación pude encontrar una forma de colaborar con este tema. Después de 10 años de experimentación, y de errores, logré integrar a los mampuestos desperdicios orgánicos e inorgánicos. Hasta el día de hoy solamente se había podido integrar lo que era inorgánico, pero no había experiencias exitosas con los residuos naturales.
-Excelente. Me gustaría que me comentes que desechos utilizas para producir los ladrillos.
– Ponete en el lugar de un vecino común de la ciudad. Por ejemplo, en el día de hoy podrías haber tirado una cáscara de banana, los fideos que te sobraron y el hueso y la grasa que te sobró. También le tiraste el paquete de galletitas que te comiste con el mate, y la yerba que ya no usas más. Puede haber papel higiénico, o si tenes un bebe le agregas el pañal, o la toallita femenina de tu esposa. Te doy unos ejemplos de forma cruda para que veas hasta donde llega esto.
-Si, por supuesto. Me sirve que sea así de gráfico el ejemplo.
–Pero, supongamos que se te terminó el desodorante y lo tiraste ahí. Bueno, eso no va (risas). Todo lo otro, lo no metálico, te sirve. Hasta la bolsa donde pusiste la basura.
Una vez que juntaste eso, le pones un líquido que frena la descomposición de lo orgánico. Una vez que moviste eso, ya podes usarlo para hacer un block. Con esos block podes construir una casa, y como está formado por residuos tenes la posibilidad de tener un ladrillo con aislación térmica, algo que los bloques convencionales no tienen. Estos ladrillos permiten mantener la temperatura al interior de la vivienda, y ayudan a gastar menos energía en la casa.
-Genial, me diste pie para mi próxima pregunta: ¿Qué ventajas tiene el producto que vos desarrollaste en relación a un bloque normal?
–La aislación térmica es su principal ventaja y fue lo que más me sorprendió cuando integré las partes orgánicas. En este momento estoy con pruebas en el INTI, aunque también hicimos algunos estudios en la Universidad de Villa Mercedes -UNVIME-: se asombraron de la resistencia de los bloques ante la compresión. Las pruebas que voy a hacer ahora son para tener las certificaciones necesarias para vender el producto. Deben ser seguros para el ser humano: ignífugos, que tengan aislación térmica, y sin liberación de líquido debido a la descomposición de los componentes orgánicos que pudiera tener.
Tengo todas las bases para demostrar que lo que cree es bueno para la humanidad.
-¿Qué dificultades te encontraste en el proceso? ¿Tuviste problemas con algo más, sumado al tema de la descomposición?
–No, no tuve ninguna otra dificultad. Con este líquido que descubrí logré detener la descomposición de forma inerte. Además, los bloques son inoloros y no permiten la creación de insectos, como moscas. Lo único que me costó fue encontrar la fórmula exacta para crear los diferentes ladrillos: tenes que alcanzar la proporción exacta para que sean perdurables en el tiempo.
-¿Adonde fabricas los blocks vos Ramiro?
-Yo no tengo una bloquera, asique tuve que hablar con varias de mi ciudad hasta que una aceptó que yo haga mis productos ahí. En ese lugar se utilizan mis proporciones, además de los residuos que ya les llevo triturados y tratados. En estos meses en nuestra ciudad contigua, Villa Mercedes, estoy por empezar a trabajar en una bloquera.
-Excelente. Para cerrar, quisiera saber qué consejo le das a los vecinos como vos, interesados en el medio ambiente, para que puedan colaborar con el cuidado de nuestro entorno natural.
-A mis vecinos todavía no les pido la selección de residuos, porque se que educar a la gente es algo que lleva muchos años. Con este proyecto y esta forma de tratar los residuos está bueno pedirle a la gente que haga la selección de sus residuos, porque es una ventaja enorme para nosotros y una manera de ayudar al medio ambiente. Yo pienso que si lo orgánico pudieran usarlo en su tierra, o hacer quintas, sería buenísimo. Y en lo que a plástico se refiere, hay un montón de insumos creados con ese tipo de material.
Lo que le sugiero a la gente es que vayan reciclando lo más que puedan, es lo que me motivó a comenzar este proyecto. Algunos me preguntan cuanto me cuesta hacer mi invento y siempre les digo: el costo de la vida misma. Si vos no reciclas, el costo con el que vivas será mucho más elevado.
