Récord: el Conicet superó los 12.000 investigadores
La histórica suma se alcanzó después de que la prestigiosa institución sumara 820 nuevos científicos y técnicos. Este año fue elegida como la mejor institución de ciencia gubernamental de Latinoamérica.
El Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas -CONICET- anunció la incorporación de 820 nuevos investigadores ayer viernes, alcanzando un techo histórico de más de 12.000 miembros. Es la suma más alta en la historia del organismo, que este año fue premiado como la mejor institución gubernamental de ciencia de todo Latinoamérica.
Desde el Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología celebraron la histórica suma y destacaron la importancia de incorporar investigadores, sobre todo en las regiones en las que no está tan desarrollada la investigación científica y técnica. En este sentido, la selección de los nuevos miembros utilizó un criterio federal: el objetivo es reforzar las zonas con menor presencia de científicos, para atender necesidades y problemas de esas regiones. “Argentina tiene una gran concentración de institutos de investigación en la región central”, añadió el ministro Daniel Filmus.
Hasta la fecha el organismo contaba con 11.377 investigadores: las flamantes incorporaciones se sumarán a quienes aún no fueron sumados de la convocatoria anterior. De esta manera, serán más de 12.000 quienes trabajen para darle a la ciencia un lugar central en las políticas de Estado.
