«Banda Los Monos»: el emblemático líder de la organización rosarina fue sentenciado a 28 años de prisión
Ariel Máximo Guille Cantero, líder de la organización delictiva, recibió una pena de 28 años de prisión luego de que lo acusaran de 7 de los 14 atentados que Los Monos realizó contra jueces y fiscales rosarinos.
El jueves por la tarde la justicia santafesina concretó la sentencia para Ariel Máximo Guille Cantero, el líder de la banda delictiva «Los Monos». La emblemática banda manejó el tráfico de drogas durante años en la ciudad apelando a métodos violentos, y en 2018 protagonizó una serie de atentados contra magistrados y edificios judiciales.
Hebe Marcogliese fue la jueza del caso, y acusó a Cantero de los siguientes delitos: amenazas coactivas, agravadas por ser anónimas; utilización de arma de fuego y por tener como propósito alguna medida o concesiones de miembros de poderes públicos; y daño calificado por ejecutar los hechos con el fin de impedir el libre ejercicio de la autoridad.
De los 14 atentados cometidos, Cantero fue señalado como instigador de 7 de esos ataques. En una de las audiencias previas, Cantero reveló sin mosquearse: «Contrato sicarios para tirar tiros a los jueces». Los fiscales Miguel Moreno, Matías Edery, Aníbal Vescovo y Gastón Ávila solicitaron una pena de 24 años para quien manejara durante años el narcotráfico en Rosario. Sin embargo, la pena acordada fue incluso superior, quedando fijada en 28 años, ya que le unificaron una condena previa de 8 años y 8 meses.
Los 28 años de prisión se sumaron a condenas previas, que dejaron un total de 83 años y 8 meses de penas para quien llegó a dominar una ciudad entera.

Chidimma Adetshina of Nigeria finished as first runner-up and Maria Fernanda Beltran of Mexico was named second runner-up. Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand and Ileana Marquez Pedroza of Venezuela followed – with Pedroza, a 28-year-old mother, making history in the top five after the competition removed several restrictions in recent years.
This year marked the first time in Miss Universe’s 72-year history that women aged over 28 were permitted to enter. More than two dozen of the finalists were older than would have been allowed in previous years, with Malta’s Beatrice Njoya becoming the first and only woman in her 40s to reach the grand finale.
