Todo listo para una nueva edición de Mercedes Corre
La tercera edición se corre este domingo desde las 9:00. Con un cupo de hasta 1000 corredores, ya hay más de 920 inscriptos. Habrá dos distancias y una prueba recreativa para los más pequeños.
Todo listo para la tercera edición de Mercedes Corre. La maratón mercedina vuelve a correrse tras dos años, ya que la pandemia no permitió realizar la edición 2020. La maratón tendrá como punto de partida y llegada el Complejo Molino Fénix de la ciudad.
La carrera tendrá dos distancias: una competitiva de 10k y otra participativa de 5k. Asimismo, habrá una prueba recreativa para que los más pequeños no queden afuera de la gran jornada. Mercedes Corre es parte de las celebraciones por el aniversario de la ciudad, que en 2018 unió La Pedrera con el Complejo Fénix.
Matías Lucero, miembro de la organización, manifestó: «Hay muchas expectativas. Es la tercera edición, y las otras salieron muy bien. Corregimos algunos desajustes que tuvimos y nos sirvieron de experiencia, y la verdad es que la gente ya se está sintiendo identificada con la maratón. Con el tiempo tomó más relevancia de la que nosotros esperábamos, y es bueno porque le queremos dar identidad».
El cupo habilitado permite hasta 1000 atletas: hasta el momento ya hay más de 920 inscriptos. Los representantes puntanos estarán acompañados por corredores de Córdoba y Mendoza.
Horarios y premiación
La largada para las dos pruebas será en calle Comandante Videla, en el Complejo Molino Fénix. La prueba de 10k sale a las 9:00, mientras que la de 5k participativa empieza a correr 9:15.
Habrá medallas para los diez primeros de las ramas masculina y femenina. Además, la agrupación con mayor cantidad de participantes recibirá una bandera con diseño a elección, y todos los competidores tendrán medallas finisher.
