Las empresas de medicina no cobrarán los copagos adicionales del 9%, aunque afirmaron que el sector atraviesa una «situación económica crítica».

Finalmente las empresas prestadoras de salud dieron marcha atrás con la implementación del copago del 9% que iba a implementarse este 1 de enero. La decisión se acordó tras un encuentro entre miembros de la cartera sanitaria nacional y representantes del sector de la medicina prepaga.

La reunión se celebró ayer martes por la mañana y contó con la participación de Daniel López, superintendente de servicios de Salud; Mauricio Monsalvo, secretario administrativo del Ministerio de Salud; Sonia Tarragona, jefa del gabinete de Salud y el secretario de Equidad en Salud, Víctor Urbani. Las empresas prestadoras de salud fueron representadas por el Presidente de la Federación Argentina de Prestadores de Salud -FAPS-, José Sánchez; Mario Lugones de la Fundación Sanatorio Güemes; José Luis Sánches Rivas de la Confederación Argentina de Clínicas, Sanatorios y Hospitales; entre otros.

Tras el acuerdo, la FAPS expresó en un comunicado que las autoridades nacionales le ratificaron al sector la vigencia del aumento del 9% programado para enero -el cuarto y último previsto por la resolución ministerial-, y que además se garantizará que ese porcentaje sea trasladado por las empresas de medicina prepaga y obras sociales.

Días atrás la ministra de Salud, Carla Vizzotti, se refirió a la polémica por los copagos. Explicó que de implementarse, las empresas de medicina prepaga no cumplirían con el acuerdo, que estipuló que los aumentos en las cuotas de las prepagas debían trasladarse a los prestadores. «Lo que sucede es que de esa manera no se está cumpliendo el acuerdo y la resolución ministerial y, además, a la gente le cobran el copago junto al 9% de aumento en la prepaga», manifestó la ministra.

Desde el 1 de agosto, el sector ya recibió 3 aumentos del 9% en las cuotas de las prepagas y con el cambio de año se produciría el último acordado por un porcentaje similar. Aunque las empresas de salud sostienen que el sector atraviesa una «situación económica crítica», desde el gobierno dijeron no desconocer las dificultades de financiamiento y por eso propondrán una mesa de trabajo.
