El hecho ocurrió en un campo ubicado en el kilómetro 65 de la ruta 146. Sospechan que la niña murió ahogada, y personal de la Comisaría 13° ya trabaja en la zona.

Una niña de 2 años murió en un campo próximo a Los Manantiales, la localidad del Departamento Belgrano. La pequeña había cruzado desde otro campo junto a su madre para alimentar unos animales, aunque la mujer la perdió de vista: la encontró sin vida en un espejo de agua, y sospechan que murió ahogada.

El trágico episodio tuvo lugar en un campo en el kilómetro 65 de la ruta 146: para llegar al lugar hay que caminar unos 7 u 8 kilómetros. Víctor Echegaray, subjefe de la Unidad Regional 5, confirmó que personal de la Comisaría 13° ya trabaja en el lugar.

La niña fue identificada como Kiara Guadalupe Rojas. Su madre, Vanesa Rojas, relató que habían ido junto a un pariente al campo de un conocido para alimentar unos animales. La mujer explicó que en un descuido la perdió de vista al mediodía, y a las 13:50 la halló sin vida en una represa. Aunque la sacó inmediatamente del agua, notó que ya no respiraba.

Sin signos de violencia

La jefa de la Comisaría 13°, Verónica Quinteros, explicó que el cuerpo de la niña fue trasladado a la morgue judicial para esclarecer las circunstancias de su muerte. Desde la fuerza presumen que la niña se ahogó, y remarcaron que su cuerpo no tenía signos de violencia. Hasta ayer por la noche la madre no prestó declaraciones, ya que permanecía en estado de shock.

Según se conoció, el campo tiene dos represas: una más grande y una pequeña, unidas por un brazo. Inicialmente buscaron a la niña en la más grande, aunque la encontraron en la represa menor. Esta última se ubica a 100 metros de la vivienda, y tiene profundidad suficiente para que un pequeño se ahogue, además de un suelo lleno de barro.
