El nuevo piso rige para las imposiciones a 30 días hasta $10 millones y es una forma de evitar que la suba de precios afecte a los ahorristas. El Banco Central aumentó además 950 puntos la tasa de política monetaria, la suba más alta desde 2019.

La suba de tasas de interés de política monetaria que fijó este jueves el Banco Central (BCRA) -de 60% a 69,5%- comenzará a regir a partir de mañana e impactará de manera inmediata en los depósitos a plazo fijo en pesos, como una forma de evitar que la suba de precios afecte a los ahorristas.

En el caso de los depósitos de hasta 10 millones de pesos hechos por personas humanas, el nuevo piso garantizado de tasa nominal anual (TNA) será del 69,5% -antes era de 61%- para los depósitos a 30 días, lo que representa un rendimiento mensual del 5,79% y un rendimiento anual efectivo del 96,5%.

Para el resto de los depósitos a plazo fijo del sector privado la tasa mínima garantizada será del 61%, lo que representa una tasa efectiva anual de 81,3%.

Esto quiere decir que si este viernes una persona hiciera un plazo fijo por 30 días de $100.000, al finalizar el plazo recibirá $105.791, es decir los $100.000 que había depositado en un primer momento más un interés de $5.791.

Sin embargo, si decidiera al final de ese plazo hacer un nuevo plazo fijo por 30 días con el dinero inicial más los $ 5.791 ganados en intereses, obtendría al final del plazo $ 111.917, es decir los $ 105.050 depositados a principio de mes más un interés de $ 6.126.

En caso de no haber cambios en la tasa de interés durante el próximo año, si ante cada vencimiento la persona volviera a hacer un nuevo plazo fijo por 30 días con el capital inicial y los intereses ganados, en 12 meses tendría $ 196.525

Es decir, los $ 100.000 depositados inicialmente más un interés de $ 96.525.

Los bancos también ofrecen los plazos fijos «UVA + 1%» pre cancelables, como una opción de inversión a tasa real positiva para las personas ahorristas ya que ofrecen una tasa mínima de 1% anual sobre la tasa de interés equivalente al Índice de Precios al Consumidor que informa el Indec más la tasa anual de 1%, lo que permite mantener el poder adquisitivo del ahorro y ganarle por un punto a la inflación, si se cumple el plazo contractual de 90 días.

La particularidad de este producto es que dispone de la opción de pre cancelación a partir de los 30 días, aunque con una tasas de interés equivalente al 85% de la TNA que dan los plazo fijos tradicionales, que en la actualidad sería de 59,075%.

Actualmente es obligatorio que todos los bancos ofrezcan en los home banking los plazos fijos «UVA + 1%» a través de todos los medios, ya sea en las sucursales con presencia física o a través de las plataformas electrónicas.
