PROTESTA POR EL DESPIDO DE 15 TRABAJADORES EN LA FÁBRICA PALMERO

Desde la mañana de este miércoles se realiza una protesta en las puertas de la fábrica Palmero por el despido de 15 trabajadores y se pide la reincorporación. Los despidos se insertan en un contexto de conflicto entre los empleados y la empresa por la instalación de cámaras en la fábrica.

El conflicto entre los trabajadores y la patronal se generó porque la empresa quiere instalar cámaras en la fábrica. Los trabajadores estuvieron en desacuerdo con la instalación de los dispositivos y realizaron una retención de tareas como forma de protesta. Ante la medida de fuerza, la patronal hizo el descuento de los días, pero el Programa Relaciones Laborales, tras varias audiencias, ordenó el reintegro de las sumas descontadas. Además, la empresa pidió a Relaciones Laborales que se expidiera sobre la instalación de las cámaras.

Mientras se realizaba la negociación entre las partes por el tema de las cámaras en una reunión en Relaciones Laborales, “empezaron a llegar mensajes a los delegados que estaban despidiendo gente”, comentó Jesús Gerardo, secretario adjunto de la Unión Obrera Metalúrgica (UOM).

Los trabajadores despedidos son 12 sindicalizados en la UOM y 3 sin gremio. Aproximadamente, desde las 14 horas de ayer, comenzaron a recibir los telegramas de despido “sin causa”.

“La empresa quería imponer las cámaras de una forma unilateral y autoritaria dentro de la planta donde los compañeros iban a ser filmados en toda su jornada laboral aduciendo que era para cuidar el patrimonio y por una parte de ingeniería. Los compañeros dicen, ‘cuidá tu patrimonio, pero a mí no me filmes. Yo no soy patrimonio tuyo’. Sabemos para qué son las cámaras. Son para persecución”, consideró Gerardo en declaraciones a La Gaceta.

Al momento de la publicación de esta nota, los trabajadores no recibieron respuesta de la patronal y se espera la intervención de Relaciones Laborales.

Palmero está radicada en la provincia hace más de 30 años y la planta está ubicada sobre la Ruta 3 cerca del kilómetro 3. Se dedica a la fabricación de grupos electrógenos de gran porte. Gerardo estimó que la en la planta de San Luis se desempeñan 90 trabajadores aproximadamente de los cuales 50 están agremiados a la UOM.
