UPRO: MÁS DEL 70% DE LOS EGRESADOS LOGRA UNA RÁPIDA INSERCIÓN LABORAL
Es 70% de los alumnos recibidos en los años 2020 y 2021 que ya están trabajando. Así lo aseguran los datos obtenidos por la Secretaría de Extensión y Vinculación de la casa de estudios.
Desde que nació la Universidad Provincial de Oficios “Eva Perón” (UPrO), 7400 estudiantes finalizaron sus estudios. Así, se posiciona como la institución educativa más importante de Latinoamérica en su especialidad. El principal objetivo es incluir a las personas y vincular la educación con el trabajo.
Los alcances se extienden y por ello el Gobierno de Formosa a través de su Ministerio de Educación, prevé replicar el modelo educativo de la UPrO, de igual manera que Chaco, Salta y Santiago del Estero.

Fue construido durante la presidencia de Juan Domingo Perón como un centro de contención para niños y niñas de escasos recursos o carentes de familia; similar a los tantos predios diseminados en la Argentina bajo el nombre de Hogar Escuela. De hecho, así se le ha llamado durante décadas, mientras que en los últimos años se ha impuesto la sigla UPrO como referencia geográfica, aunque comparte espacio con otras reparticiones del Estado provincial y dos escuelas.

Reparación de sistemas eléctricos, de calefacción y cañerías, como también intervenciones edilicias, fueron parte de las tareas realizadas y debidamente certificadas.
Un formato muy similar se aplicó en beneficio de familias de escasos recursos, a través de “La UPrO en tu barrio”, dónde 132 alumnos y 25 docentes, previo a un sondeo en diversos vecindarios de Villa Mercedes, se ocuparon de realizar arreglos en 103 domicilios, aportando también la universidad, los materiales necesarios.
Por otra parte, 80 cursantes de mecánica participaron y participan en los programas “La UPrO repara tu auto” y “La UPrO repara tu moto”, un sistema que incluyó un periodo de inscripción de interesados, que solo debieron hacerse cargo de los repuestos necesarios, De esta manera, 189 coches y camionetas salieron en óptimo estado de los talleres de la universidad, siguiéndoles 205 motocicletas con sus motores como nuevos”.
La expansión provincial de la política formadora de la UPrO se concretó con la inauguración, entre 2021 y el corriente año, de tres sedes en San Luis capital, que se encuentran ubicadas en la intersección de la avenida Carlos Gardel y Borges, en la tercera rotonda al norte de la ciudad; otra en Juanón Lucero 1025, lindante a la Autopista de las Serranías Puntanas; y, en el predio de avenida Centenario y Justo Daract, donde en una época funcionó la fábrica de cerámicos SCAC.
En el interior, la universidad ya cuenta con edificios terminados en Buena Esperanza, Quines, Tilisarao y Candelaria, cuyas inauguraciones son inminentes, mientras que para el 2023 se prevé hacer lo propio en San Francisco, La Calera y Potrero de los Funes, como también una segunda casa en Villa Mercedes. Esta última tendrá lugar en el complejo de descentralización administrativa que se construye en Federico García Lorca y Juan Llerena, en el corazón del barrio Los Poetas.
La UPrO integra una red que tiene como objetivo generar acciones para promover y difundir la capacitación en oficios como parte de las políticas universitarias. Y así, poder brindar a las personas que se encuentran en situaciones de vulnerabilidad social o necesiten una salida laboral rápida, puedan capacitarse y obtener una certificación universitaria que les ayude a conseguir un empleo digno en su zona de residencia.
