POR TERCER AÑO CONSECUTIVO, LA AVENIDA ILLIA SERÁ SEMIPEATONAL LOS FINES DE SEMANA
La Municipalidad de San Luis dispuso, por tercer año consecutivo, la semipeatonalización de la avenida Illia. La medida comenzará a regir este 2 de diciembre y se aplicará todos los viernes y sábados de diciembre de 2022 y enero y febrero de 2023.
“Ayer estuvimos recorriendo los bares de la zona para anunciar la medida y pedirles colaboración, y la recibieron de muy buena manera. Esta iniciativa es de la Municipalidad de San Luis, algo que nos encargó el intendente y tiene como objetivo fortalecer el polo gastronómico y recreativo, para que puedan tener mesas en la calle y atender más clientes, sobre todo en estos días de calor en que la gente prefiere estar al aire libre”, dijo Facundo García, secretario de Transporte y Prevención Ciudadana.
Los operativos se desarrollarán de manera similar a los años anteriores. La semipeatonalización afectará al carril norte de la avenida, con sentido este-oeste, entre calles San Martín y Constitución. A las 18 horas comenzarán a realizarse el vallado y el despeje de la arteria, y el corte en el carril se extenderá hasta las 2 de la mañana.
Las calles que atraviesan avenida Illia (Chacabuco, Mitre y Caseros) van a estar liberadas al tránsito. El secretario informó también que el operativo se coordina con el Ministerio de Seguridad, que brinda apoyo con agentes de la Policía provincial.
“Esta iniciativa siempre fue para apoyar el comercio. Con el Covid lo hacíamos para que pudieran tener más capacidad, ya que debían mantener cierta distancia entre las mesas por una cuestión epidemiológica. Ahora que estamos más libres, lo hacemos para que puedan ampliar su capacidad, para mayor comodidad de la gente, aunque no deja de ser una medida de salud también”, concluyó García.
