Funcionarios de la Municipalidad de San Luis brindaron este jueves una conferencia de prensa en la que aseguraron que no se realizarán nuevos cortes programados para lo que resta de la semana en el contexto de emergencia hídrica. La decisión se tomó principalmente por las lluvias que hubo en los últimos días y las maniobras que se realizan en las plantas potabilizadoras

“Nos vemos en una situación de no realizar estos cortes programados al menos por esta semana porque porque creemos que tenemos en régimen las plantas. Nuestros depósitos están bastante bien como para comunicar a todos los vecinos que esta semana no estaríamos haciendo cortes”, expresó el secretario de de Servicios Públicos, Diego Hernández.

El funcionario agregó que las precipitaciones de los últimos días ayudaron a que aumente el caudal de agua que reciben las plantas que abastecen a la ciudad capital y da “un pequeño respiro positivo”. Ejemplificó que las precipitaciones ayudaron a que aumente 3 metros el nivel de cota del dique Antonio Esteban Agüero, 2,28 metros en el dique La Florida, mientras en el dique de Cruz de Piedra no registra un aumento.

Teniendo en cuenta lo mencionado anteriormente, mejoró el caudal de agua que reciben las plantas potabilizadoras. Se recibían 1.000 litros por segundo entre las plantas potabilizadoras Aguada 1, 2 y Puente Blanco y actualmente se reciben 1.100 litros por segundo.

Por otra parte, calificó que los cortes programados de 24 horas que se realizaron esta semana, fueron muy positivos para “poner en régimen” las plantas potabilizadoras teniendo en cuenta el bajo caudal de ingreso de agua cruda por el bajo nivel de los diques.

Resaltó que la idea es que no se realicen nuevos cortes programados, pero hay variables que se analizan día a día para tomar la decisión de cortar o no, y que se trabaja para evitarlos.

Para Hernández, los vecinos de la ciudad tomaron conciencia de la emergencia hídrica y comprenden que es un problema a nivel nacional y que se detectaron derroches de agua “de un pequeño porcentaje que no toma conciencia”.

El secretario de Gobierno, Andrés Russo, destacó que la Municipalidad asistió a los vecinos en los barrios donde se cortó el agua esta semana con camiones que llenaron tanques de las viviendas y con agua mineral. Sin embargo, resaltó que la idea de notificar con anticipación un corte de agua es que los vecinos tomen el recaudo del llenado de los tanques de los hogares.
