VILLA DE LA QUEBRADA FESTEJÓ EL ANIVERSARIO NÚMERO 151 DE FUNDACIÓN
Durante cuatro días se desarrollaron actividades por el cumpleaños del pueblo capital de la fe. El jueves y viernes se realizaron todo tipo de actividades deportivas, en tanto el sábado por la tarde noche tuvo lugar la ceremonia central en vísperas del día aniversario de fundación: 4 de diciembre.
Luego de la misa, con un show musical y de danzas tradicionales comenzó la vigilia artística. Además, se sumó un reconocimiento municipal a los deportistas del pueblo que este año se coronaron en distintas disciplinas.
La intendenta comisionada, Rosa Calderón, agradeció la presencia de los vecinos, artistas, instituciones, empleados municipales y funcionarios locales que acompañaron la celebración y respecto a los deportistas reconocidos dijo: «Como no reconocer a nuestros niños, a nuestros campeones, a aquellos que han sido el orgullo de Villa de la Quebrada y que nos han representado a nivel provincial y nacional. Creemos que este es el momento, que los niños, que son el futuro de Villa de la Quebrada, que se sepa todo el esfuerzo que han logrado».
La jefa comunal también hizo referencia a las palabras que en la liturgia expresó el cura párroco: «Qué bonitas palabras que nos dijo, de abrir el corazón. Estamos llegando a fin de año y es cuando más tenemos que tener la unión de nuestro pueblo. Siempre digo que la unión hace la fortaleza y este es el momento de volver a unirnos todos».
Finalmente, con fuegos artificiales, aplausos y entonando el tradicional cumpleaños feliz, a la hora cero los presentes recibieron el 4 de diciembre, día en el que oficialmente se reconoce como la fundación del pueblo. El domingo las actividades cerraron en el Predio de Doma con tradicionales muestras de destrezas gauchas, entre otras.
