El 2023 es un año electoral, durante el cual se reintroducirá el sistema de Ley de Lemas. Además de gobernador y vicegobernador, este año se eligen 5 senadores y 21 diputados provinciales, renovando de este modo la mitad de las cámaras. Por el lado de los municipios, se elegirán 17 intendentes, incluyendo las 3 principales ciudades de la provincia: San Luis Capital, Villa Mercedes y Merlo.
