El Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INDEC) dio a conocer que el dato de inflación de diciembre subió al 5,1% desde los 4,9% que había marcado en noviembre. El IPC para todo 2022 culminó en 94,8%, el mayor nivel en 32 años.

Así, se trató de la cifra anual más alta desde 1991 ya que para alcanzar un mayor valor hay que remontarse a 1990 cuando la suba de precios fue del 1.343,9%. En el ´91 alcanzó el 84%, periodo en el que comenzó a regir la convertibilidad. De los últimos años la más alta había sido en el 2021 con el 50,9%.

Incluso la medición mensual fue superior a la que había pronosticado el ministro de Economía, Sergio Massa, que había dicho el fin de semana en diálogo con Perfil que la inflación de diciembre iba a dar por debajo del 5%, al igual de lo ocurrido en noviembre, cuando el IPC fue del 4,9%.

Seis rubros estuvieron por encima de la medición general. De hecho dos de ellos superaron el 7%: se trata de Restaurantes y hoteles (+7,2%), seguida por Bebidas alcohólicas y tabaco (+7,1%). También subieron con fuerza en diciembre, Equipamiento y mantenimiento del hogar (+5,9%), en el que impactó el aumento al servicio doméstico, Transporte (+5,8%) por el alza a los combustibles, y Salud (+5,7%) por las subas de las cuotas de medicina prepaga.

La suba de Alimentos y bebidas no alcohólicas (+4,7%) fue la que más incidió en la mayoría de las regiones pero estuvo debajo de la medición general. El alza se debió al “el aumento defrutas, aguas minerales, bebidas gaseosas y jugos. Pan y cereales y, en algunas de las regiones, verduras, tubérculos y legumbres”. A su vez, el IPC Núcleo (+5,3%) lideró el alza mensual, seguido por Regulados (+5,1%), donde impactaron, entre otras, las subas de combustibles y de las cuotas de medicina prepaga– y Estacionales (+4,6%).

En cuanto a los valores por región, la más alta fue para el GBA con el 5,3%, después se encontraron la zona Pampeana (+5,1%), Cuyo (+5%), Noreste (+4,8%), Noroeste (+4,7%), y Patagonia (+4,5%).

Sobre las mediciones mensuales durante el 2022, la mayor fue en julio (+7,4%), seguido por agosto (+7%), y marzo (+6,7). En octubre fue del 6,3%, en septiembre del 6,2%, y en abril del 6%. Junio fue del 5,3%, y 5,1% se repitió en diciembre y mayo. Los meses con menor valor fueron: noviembre (+4,9%), febrero (+4,7%) y enero (+3,9%).
