Trenes Argentinos confirmó que el próximo 22 de marzo se realizará la “marcha blanca” hasta la provincia de Mendoza previo a la reactivación del servicio de pasajeros en el tramo desde la ciudad de Justo Daract.

La intención era reactivar los viajes hasta la estación Gutiérrez, en el departamento Maipú, pero por el momento la formación llegará a Palmira, departamento San Martín.

De esta manera quedará restablecido el tren de pasajeros desde Retiro, Buenos Aires, a Mendoza, después de más de 30 años del último viaje.

Como el servicio ya se presta desde Buenos Aires hasta Justo Daract, el trayecto de prueba se realizará desde esa ciudad puntana, para chequear el estado de las vías y las estaciones intermedias.

Ramón Guerrero, concejal de la Unión Cívica Radical (UCR) y exferroviario, celebró el proceso de reanudación de ese sistema de transporte, pero lamentó que las condiciones de las vías no son las óptimas.

“El tren salía alrededor de las 21.00 de Retiro y al otro día a las 9.30 o 10.00 de la mañana estaba en Mendoza. Hoy va a demorar alrededor de 24 horas, por el estado calamitoso que tenemos de los rieles, las vías. Hoy está demorando entre 16 y 18 horas para llegar a Justo Daract”, retrató.

En este punto, pidió que el Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación lleve adelante las inversiones necesarias para mejorar las vías, que permitan aumentar la velocidad de las formaciones y tener un servicio adecuado.

“Apelo a que se hagan las inversiones para mejorar las vías desde Rufino a Justo Daract, de Justo Daract hasta Beazley, de Beazley hasta La Paz y desde La Paz hasta la ciudad de Mendoza”, dijo.

Guerrero señaló que las estaciones también deben mejorar: “En la de Justo Daract no hay ni siquiera baño; no han arreglado las plataformas, no las limpian, no cortan los yuyos”, contó.

El presidente de Trenes Argentinos, Martín Marinucci, había anticipado que el tren llegaría en marzo de 2023 a Mendoza, cuando participó de la jornada de inspección de vías e informe de velocidad desde Justo Daract hasta Palmira, el pasado 7 de diciembre.
