SE VIENE EL BILLETE DE $2.000: CUÁNDO ENTRA EN CIRCULACIÓN
El Gobierno terminará en las próximas semanas el proceso de impresión de los nuevos billetes de $2000, que entrarían en circulación en la calle en junio. La primera tanda del nuevo papel moneda será el que tendrá una imagen conmemorativa con la fachada del Instituto Malbrán, de Cecilia Grierson y de Ramón Carrillo.
Una parte de la producción de los nuevos billetes fue contratada por la Casa de la Moneda de Brasil, China y España. La hoja de ruta del contrato establecido entre el Banco Central y Casa de la Moneda prevé que en junio este último ente envíe la primera tanda de nuevos billetes de $2.000. En este caso se tratará de billetes fabricados íntegramente en el país. Por cuestiones de confidencialidad, Casa de la Moneda no informó cuál es la cantidad total de billetes que imprimirá ni los que serán importados desde los tres países mencionados.
A principios de febrero, el Banco Central había anunciado el lanzamiento de un nuevo billete de $2.000 que entrará en circulación en los próximos meses, y también se conoció que analizaba uno de mayor denominación, que sería de $5.000 y que todavía está en estudio en la autoridad monetaria.
El nuevo billete llevará como imagen de homenaje a Cecilia Grierson, considerada la primera médica argentina, y con al ex ministro de Salud y referente del sanitarismo argentino Ramón Carrillo, y en el otro lado, una imagen de la fachada del Instituto Malbrán.
Se trata de un diseño que ya existía con anterioridad, por lo que el Gobierno decidió utilizarlo para acortar los tiempos para la salida a circulación del nuevo billete. Si hubiese tenido que realizar un nuevo boceto, los tiempos hasta conseguir que las planchas que imprimen los billetes sean construidas podrían haber estirado ese tiempo hasta los ocho meses.
Según informaron fuentes involucradas en el proceso, el calendario acordado entre el BCRA y Casa de la Moneda “se realizan en los tiempos y las formas contempladas en el contrato”. Los primeros billetes importados desde China, Brasil y España llegarían así a la Argentina en septiembre, en un proceso que se dará en continuado hasta abril del año próximo.
