La Organización Deportiva Suramericana (ODESUR) hizo el anuncio este viernes en la Casa de San Luis, en Buenos Aires, junto al gobernador de la Provincia, Alberto Rodríguez Saá. Los Juegos, que serán el evento deportivo más importante de la historia de San Luis, se realizarán del 27 de marzo al 5 de abril en la ciudad capital, Juana Koslay, La Punta y Potrero de los Funes.

“Que San Luis pueda ser sede nos parece maravilloso, porque ahora contamos con una infraestructura que es muy buena”, afirmó el Gobernador puntano durante el acto.

Tras presentar su postulación y cumplir con las exigencias para recibir un evento de tal magnitud, San Luis fue elegida para organizar los IV Juegos Suramericanos de la Juventud. Gracias a este evento, pisarán territorio puntano más de 2.500 atletas de Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brasil, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Venezuela, Panamá, Surinam, Aruba, Curacao y Guyana.

Este viernes en la Casa de San Luis, en Buenos Aires, el presidente de la ODESUR, Camilo Pérez López Moreira, anunció la elección de la sede frente a los medios nacionales más importantes, presidentes de las distintas confederaciones argentinas y deportistas puntanos. El gobernador de la Provincia, Alberto Rodríguez Saá, y la secretaria de Deportes, Cintia Ramírez, acompañaron el anuncio como anfitriones y celebraron la elección de la provincia.

“Para nosotros es un día inmensamente feliz, sabemos que se han aprobado todas las condiciones y requisitos y nuestro ofrecimiento”, expresó el gobernador tras el anuncio. Y agregó: “Decirnos que San Luis podía ser sede de este evento de la juventud suramericana nos pareció maravilloso porque contamos, desde hace unos 20 o 30 años, con una infraestructura muy buena. Y ustedes lo han podido comprobar”.

Antes de concluir y pasar a la firma del contrato, Rodríguez Saá consideró: “Para nosotros esto es extraordinario, excepcional, porque va a dejar muchísimas enseñanzas y un enorme compromiso, que es cumplir con la expectativa del presidente de ODESUR, porque están realizando grandes eventos y nosotros queremos estar a la altura de eso, que San Luis organice un gran evento”.

El presidente de ODESUR, Camilo Pérez López Moreira, fue quien anunció la decisión del Comité Ejecutivo del organismo suramericano tras evaluar la propuesta de San Luis y la infraestructura relevada. “Lo único que escuchamos de San Luis son ponderaciones, por eso los queremos felicitar, por apostar al deporte, por apostar a que la provincia sea la mejor. Estamos seguros de que San Luis organizará unos grandes Juegos en 2025. A partir de ahora somos un solo equipo que trabajará de manera conjunta”, dijo el dirigente paraguayo.
