PIDEN PENAS DE ENTRE 20 Y 16 AÑOS DE PRISIÓN PARA 4 ACUSADOS DE HOMICIDIO
El Juez de Garantías N° 3 de la ciudad de San Luis, Marcos Flores Leyes, ordenó la elevación a juicio de la causa que investiga la muerte de Claudio Martín Leyes, de 50 años, quien falleció en enero de 2023 luego de estar varios meses internado a raíz de una golpiza que recibió en una estación de servicio de Juana Koslay.
Por este hecho, ocurrido en abril de 2022, hay cuatro personas imputadas por el delito de homicidio en ocasión de robo. Se trata de David Galeano, Bernabé Chávez, Yamila Barroso y Verónica Agüero. La Fiscalía solicitó penas de entre 20 y 16 años de prisión para los acusados.
Según la reconstrucción que realizó el fiscal de Instrucción N° 3, Esteban Roche, el robo sucedió el 17 de abril del 2022 a la madrugada, entre las 5.50 y las 6 horas. Los imputados y la víctima acordaron encontrarse en la estación de servicio Axion de Juana Koslay.
De acuerdo a la acusación del fiscal, una vez que se produjo el encuentro, los acusados golpearon a Leyes con la intención de robarle. Le sustrajeron dinero, llaves de la vivienda y el teléfono celular y se fugaron.
La víctima estuvo internada en el Hospital Ramón Carrillo durante seis meses. En octubre del 2022 recibió alta domiciliaria y murió el 17 de enero de 2023 en su domicilio del Barrio Maximiliano Toro, a causa de un shock cardiogénico irreversible, traumatismos graves de cráneo y epilepsia/convulsión postraumática.
En un primer momento, la causa estaba calificada como robo doblemente calificado. Luego de la muerte de Leyes, mutó a homicidio en ocasión de robo.
En la defensa actuaron Nadia Agúndez (defensora oficial en lo Penal Nº 2) y los abogados Federico Putelli y Adriana Algarbe.
