LA PROVINCIA ACUMULA MÁS DE 1400 CASOS DE DENGUE
Hay cinco casos probables que al momento permanecen pendientes de confirmación. Pertenecen a Villa Mercedes, Justo Daract, Cortaderas, Villa Salles y San Luis.
La dirección de Epidemiología y Bioestadística del ministerio de Salud señaló que desde el 1° de agosto del 2023 hasta este lunes, San Luis detectó 1464 casos de dengue, de los cuales 120 son importados y 1344 autóctonos.
Estos últimos, aquellos que se originaron dentro de los límites de la provincia, se reparten entre las siguientes localidades:

147 de la ciudad de San Luis
59 de Quines
15 de Juana Koslay
12 de Carpintería
9 de La Punta
6 de La Toma
6 de Santa Rosa del Conlara
5 de Candelaria

Además, hay cinco casos probables de dengue, aunque al momento permanecen pendientes de confirmación. Estos episodios pertenecen a Villa Mercedes, Justo Daract, Cortaderas, Villa Salles y la ciudad de San Luis.
Características y síntomas
El dengue es una enfermedad viral transmitida por la picadura del mosquito Aedes aegypti. Cuando el mosquito se alimenta con sangre de una persona enferma de dengue, y luego pica a otras personas, puede transmitir esta enfermedad. El contagio se produce principalmente por la picadura de los mosquitos infectados, nunca de una persona a otra ni a través de objetos o de la leche materna.
El dengue viene acompañado de fiebre (38° o más) y otros síntomas como el dolor detrás de los ojos, de cabeza, muscular y de articulaciones. También provoca náuseas y vómitos, cansancio intenso, aparición de manchas en la piel y picazón o sangrado de nariz y encías. Es muy importante no automedicarse y acudir al centro de salud más cercano para recibir las indicaciones médicas correctas.
Prevención
Para prevenir el dengue no alcanza con la fumigación, por eso recomiendan cuidar principalmente nuestros hogares, eliminando recipientes en desuso que puedan acumular agua, manteniendo siempre el patio limpio y desmalezado y limpiando canaletas y desagües de lluvia de los techos.
Además, para evitar las picaduras, es importante utilizar repelentes ambientales, ropa clara que cubra los brazos y las piernas (principalmente al realizar actividades al aire libre) y colocar tela mosquitera en puertas, ventanas, coches y cunas de bebés.
