El Intendente Álvarez Pinto firmó un convenio con la Agencia Nacional de Discapacidad. Los elementos estarán disponibles para quienes no puedan pagarlos de forma particular.

La Municipalidad de Villa de Merlo puso en funcionamiento el Banco
Solidario Municipal de Elementos Ortopédicos. La ordenanza venía desde 2019, aunque hoy el municipio firmó el convenio que lo ayudará a hacerla efectiva.

Ayer por la tarde se reunieron de manera virtual Juan Álvarez Pinto y Fernando Galarraga, director ejecutivo de la Agencia Nacional de Discapacidad -ANDIS-. Así, la villa avanza en materia de salud, para ayudar a quienes no pueden costear estos elementos de forma particular.

ANDIS acordó enviar más de $1.000.000 a Merlo para la compra de los siguientes elementos: sillas de ruedas, cabestrillos, trípodes, andadores, botas ortopédicas, entre otros. El monto será tomado de los recursos que dispone el Fondo Nacional para la Integración de Personas con Discapacidad.


¿Cómo funcionará el Banco?

La ordenanza 892, que data de 2019, explica que el Banco Solidario Municipal de Elementos Ortopédicos proveerá estos elementos y ayuda técnica de forma gratuita. Los beneficiaros, temporales o permanentes según la circunstancia, serán personas con discapacidad que requieran del uso de elementos ortopédicos.

El Banco contemplará a aquellas personas que no cuenten, tanto ellas, como las personas de quienes dependen, con los medios económicos para solventar la compra o alquiler de dichos elementos.
