El influencer volvió a recurrir a sus seguidores para una causa solidaria. En esta ocasión, logró pagar un vuelo en avión para 62 atletas argentinos que competirán en Ecuador.

El influencer logró recaudar más de 90 mil dólares.

Hace algunas semanas el nombre de este joven influencer fue furor, tras recaudar 2 millones de dólares para que una bebe con Atrofia Muscular Espina pueda costear medicamentos carísimos. Luego de ese éxito, Santiago Maratea logró una nueva hazaña: con la ayuda de sus seguidores juntó 99 mil dólares para que atletas argentinos puedan viajar al torneo Sudamericano de Guayaquil.

62 atletas nacionales debían presentarse en dicha competición, sin embargo el ENARD solamente podía costear a 17 de estos jóvenes. Los deportistas denunciaron el abandono estatal en las redes. Florencia Lamboglia, velocista integrante de la Delegación, denunció que a 5 días de viajar les comunicaron que solamente 15 jóvenes iban a poder viajar, ya que ENARD no iba a prestarles más dinero.

Este Sudamericano iba a ser en Buenos Aires, pero las restricciones sanitarias lo trasladaron a Guayaquil, Ecuador. Ante ese cambio, las autoridades deportivas les advirtieron a los jóvenes que no iban a poder viajar los 62 atletas. Sin embargo, de los 42 anunciados primeramente el número de redujo a menos de la mitad, cinco días antes de partir.

Ante los hechos, Maratea empezó a publicar sobre el problema en sus redes. “La semana que viene es el Sudamericano, donde muchos podrían conseguir el pase a los JJ.OO. Pero el ENARD bajó a un montón de chicos por falta de plata. Tenían un vuelo chárter, pero no lo pueden pagar. Voy a ver si la gente del ENARD me contestan, a ver si me responden”, comenzó.

Rapidamente, el influencer logró contactarse con la agencia que iba a trasladar a los deportistas. Incluso reveló que el ENARD estaba pagando sobreprecios: “¿Cuánta guita es? Me dijeron 160 mil dólares. Les dije que tenía 30 mil dólares para reservar el vuelo. Tengo mucha información, estoy hablando con los atletas y con la empresa. Tengo dos buenas noticias: conseguí que no cancelen el vuelo. Y además conseguí que sea 60 mil dólares más barato”.

Luego, el influencer lanzó una colecta en su cuenta de Instagram y los resultados fueron increíbles: en menos de 24 horas juntó los 99 mil dólares necesarios. Así, con la ayuda de sus seguidores, la misma sociedad fue quien juntó la suma y se convirtió así en el verdadero soporte de las promesas del deporte nacional, ante el desamparo oficial.
