San Luis aplicará una tercera dosis contra el Coronavirus
La provincia es una de las primeras regiones en aplicar ampollas de refuerzo contra el Covid-19. La tercer dosis será aplicada a personas mayores de 50 años, trasplantadas y pacientes inmunodeprimidos.
La ministra de Salud de la provincia, Silvia Sosa Araujo, anunció que este sábado comienza la aplicación de la tercera dosis contra el Covid-19 para grupos de riesgo. La primer parte de la campaña se orienta a personas mayores de 50 años, pacientes de trasplantes e inmunodeprimidos. San Luis será una de las primeras provincias del país en aplicar ampollas de refuerzo junto a Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Córdoba y La Rioja.
Desde la cartera sanitaria afirmaron que la tercer dosis aumenta los niveles de inmunidad frente a las nuevas variantes del virus. La vacuna usada será Sinopharm: fue desarrollada en China y posee elevados niveles de efectividad. Hace días, la ministra de Salud de la Nación, Carla Vizzotti, explicó: “La vacuna Sinopharm tiene una alta efectividad y con ella vamos a dar una dosis adicional a las poblaciones que son inmunocomprometidas y mayores de cincuenta años, siempre que hayan completado los esquemas primarios».
Vizzotti sostuvo que el 2022 será un año de refuerzos para quienes iniciaron con el esquema de vacunación este año. El objetivo es iniciar la aplicación de la tercer dosis con quienes vayan cumpliendo un año de completar su inoculación: la prioridad la tendrá el personal de salud. Los turistas que ingresen al país también podrán vacunarse de forma gratuita.
La convocatoria para la tercer dosis es voluntaria y los turnos serán comunicados por mensaje de texto.
