UN PROYECTO DE LA UNSL SERÁ PRESENTADO EN TECNÓPOLIS
El proyecto de investigación FotoFlit, dirigido por el Doctor Matías Funes del Laboratorio de Farmacognosia del Instituto Multidisciplinario de Investigaciones Biológicas (IMIBIO-SL) fue seleccionado en la 17º convocatoria del Concurso Nacional de Innovación INNOVAR.
A fines de este mes, este avance científico-tecnológico será parte de una exposición en Tecnópolis, en la que participará por diferentes premios.
Funes afirmó que la innovación de FotoFlit es que es “un tipo de microbicida obtenido a partir de productos naturales y que posee la facilidad de matar hongos o bacterias sin contaminar el ambiente”. Este proyecto fue desarrollado durante el 2020 por un grupo de expertos de la Universidad Nacional de San Luis (UNSL) y su director expresó que ya les ha dado muchas alegrías, incluso les permitió comprar equipamiento a mediados del año pasado.
En esta ocasión, el nuevo desarrollo será parte de la expo 2022 de INNOVAR que se realizará en el Predio Ferial de Tecnópolis, Buenos Aires, desde el 20 hasta el 22 de octubre con entrada libre y gratuita. El investigador comentó que será similar a una feria de ciencias porque habrá distintos stands donde se mostrará y explicará cada proyecto convocado.
Funes agregó que el uso de los microbicidas y bactericidas como la piretrina o cipermetrina generan muchos residuos, tanto en la tierra como en el agua, a tal punto de contaminar ríos. En cambio, FotoFlit se destaca porque produce mejores resultados, en segundos y sin las consecuencias de estos otros compuestos.
Este producto inocuo se origina a partir de una planta ornamental introducida en San Luis denominada “Hypericum perforatum”. Durante el proceso de acción se puede degradar en la naturaleza a través de la luz.
FotoFlit sirve tanto para uso doméstico como para grandes sembradíos. En los hogares se puede utilizar con un atomizador para que al rociar las verduras o frutas no pierdan o conserven más tiempo la vivacidad. A través de nuevas técnicas aplicadas al producto original, este mismo resultado se puede observar tanto en las verdulerías como en las industrias.
Este alcance produjo la generación de vínculos con empresas del interior, del exterior y municipios, como también premiaciones. Una de ellas fue la que ganaron junto a la Licenciada Agostina Riccardo, a la mejor investigación físico-química otorgada por el Congreso Nacional e Internacional de Química Orgánica del país (SAIQO). Por otro lado, el proyecto también fue galardonado por el Gobierno de la provincia de San Luis, como tarea científica destacada durante el 2020.
