A partir del 1 de enero, el boleto del transporte público pasará de $50 a $70. “No hace falta que expliquemos mucho, la inflación es un flagelo que nos está agobiando el bolsillo a todos, pero a la empresa se la hace imposible mantener este costo tan bajo, más allá del aporte de 720 millones que están planificados en el presupuesto que este Concejo aprobó en el día de hoy”, dijo Juan Martín Divizia, del Frente Unidad Justicialista, como informante del despacho de comisión.

Divizia subrayó que, además de la inflación, la empresa ha realizado distintas inversiones, como la mejora de los pañoles y el fortalecimiento de “todo el sistema informático de la empresa”, incluyendo la creación de un sistema de compras más eficiente.

El concejal oficialista añadió que el boleto debería costar unos $180 para que la empresa sea redituable. “La realidad es que este aumento está por debajo de la inflación. Lo demás lo va a absorber la Municipalidad con una decisión política de mantener un boleto social”, concluyó Divizia.

Por el lado de la representante de la oposición en la comisión de Transporte, Agustina Arancibia (Unidos por San Luis), sostuvo que “es imposible acompañar esta medida, principalmente porque no existe un equilibrio entre esto de estar subiendo el boleto y ofrecerles un mejor servicio a los vecinos”. “No ha habido en el año una sola política de transporte. Lo único que hemos discutido son las subas. No hemos logrado que nadie venga y nos de una explicación de cómo está hoy la empresa de Transpuntano” continuó la opositora, quien señaló que, a pesar de la emergencia, “no les tiembla el pulso desde el Ejecutivo para liberar un pasaje de transporte público 3 días cuando fue el Encuentro Plurinacional de Mujeres”.

Lo que vino después fue un análisis pormenorizado y de gran altura de Carlos Ponce, quien fue presidente de Transpuntano por varios años durante la intendencia de su hermano Enrique. Ponce explicó que punto de equilibrio del boleto es de $199,71, lo cual baja a $166,21 solo para cubrir los costos operativos, sin ningún tipo de ganancia. Ese monto se reduce aún más teniendo en cuenta los más de $1.237 millones que la empresa va a recibir en subsidios el año que viene, a $93.

Todas las cifras que dio Ponce son claramente superiores al aumento solicitado por el Poder Ejecutivo.
