La visita de la funcionaria nacional era muy esperada por el ejecutivo provincial, ya que, era un buen momento para mostrar todo lo que se viene haciendo en la lucha contra la pandemia, y además, incorporar otros temas de salud pública en la agenda sanitaria de la provincia.

San Luis es una de las provincias que mejor ha manejado la pandemia, con relativamente pocos casos, los cuáles comenzaron a aparecer recién a mediados del año pasado y nunca llegaron a colapsar el sistema sanitario. También los fallecimientos han sido relativamente bajos, lo que puede considerarse como un gran logro para el ejecutivo provincial.

No obstante, la visita de la Secretaria de Acceso a la Salud es la oportunidad para mostrar lo que se hace, y avanzar en temáticas sobre las cuales, la provincia viene poniendo énfasis. Así, en la conferencia de prensa que dio la Ministra de Salud de la Provincia, Silvia Sosa Araujo, con la ministra de Ciencia y Tecnología, Alicia Bañuelos, fue el espacio para presentar a la nación todo lo que se viene haciendo, y de paso comprometer a Vizzotti en el apoyo a los otros problemas sanitarios prioritarios de la provincia.

La funcionaria nacional destacó la laborar del ministerio de salud provincial, y su capacidad de coordinación y articulación con ciencia y tecnología para enfrentar la crisis que plantea la pandemia, y además elogió la labor del sistema sanitario en relación a la notificación y los alcances de la vacunación: “San Luis está en los avances de meta más importante, con la aplicación y notificación de personas vacunadas” destacó, y en cuanto a la labor epidemiológica, Vizzoti agregó: “se está trabajando muy fuerte; el sistema de salud puntano está estable y lejos del estrés”,

Vizzoti afirmó que se aplicó ya el 93% de las dosis recibidas, y que se espera vacunar a 30 millones de argentinos antes de junio, y así avanzar en la superación de la pandemia. Al día de hoy, se están alcanzando buenos resultados en el operativo que se realiza entre el personal de salud, educación, seguridad y mayores de 60 años.

Otra cuestión, y no menos importante, es que el viaje de la Secretaria de Acceso a la salud fue la oportunidad para compartir una agenda pública entre la nación y la provincia, e incorporar la necesidad de avanzar en el fortalecimiento de temáticas como el VIH, la hepatitis y el control del embarazo. La funcionaria nacional se comprometió a darle impulso a estos temas e incluso ampliar las presentaciones de congresos en la provincia e incorporar más herramientas tecnológicas para abordar las problemáticas sanitarias.

Hasta ahora, el viaje de Vizzotti ha sido provechoso para la provincia, no sólo por haber cosechado elogios, sino porque se queda con promesas concretas de apoyo y financiamiento a iniciativas que desde hace tiempo viene impulsando el ejecutivo local.
