Chile: uno de los países más exitosos en la vacunación contra el coronavirus
En tiempo récord, el país transandino ya vacuno a mas de 1 millón de personas.

Tan importante es lo que está realizando el país vecino, que incluso el mercado está observando con buenos ojos lo que allí sucede, dado que podría convertirse en el primer país emergente en lograr la inmunidad antes de fines de 2021. Mientras tanto, de este lado de la cordillera, seguimos viendo como despegan los aviones a Moscú, relatados y acompañados por la voz de Víctor Hugo, pero en materia de inmunizaciones, estamos muy por debajo de la épica esperada por el ejecutivo nacional.
Los chilenos no perdieron tiempo en discusiones estériles ni en anuncios rimbombantes, sino que fueron pragmáticos, y hoy tienen los beneficios de ello. En plena pandemia, hicieron los acuerdos que hoy les permiten ser uno de los países con mayores chances de terminar el año con toda la población inmunizada. Pero ese éxito no es por azar, sino por buenas decisiones políticas y técnicas.
Ya queda lejana la época en que Argentina, allá por mayo de 2020, era la campeona del mundo gracias a la “cuarentena salvadora” de Cahn, Vizzotti y Alberto. Hoy, varios meses después, no sólo no ganamos la copa, sino que todos los países de la región tienen mejores indicadores sanitarios y de vacunación que nosotros. El relato se comió al dato, pero la realidad se traga al verso.
