Nuevas restricciones: El gobierno estudia distintas estrategias para abordar la “segunda ola”
Si bien no se prevé un confinamiento total como en el 2020, si se esperan fuertes restricciones focalizadas

Una serie de variables muy distintas son las que hoy enfrentan al gobierno con la decisión de enfrentar la segunda ola de COVID-19 de una manera muy distinta a lo que se hizo durante el año pasado. Las tres grandes cuestiones que el gobierno considera son, la escasez mundial de vacunas, el humor social, y la crisis económica, por eso está elaborando un plan que contenga estas variables pero que no genere conflictividad social, pero que además permita enfrentar la pandemia de forma eficaz.
Por el lado de la escasez de vacunas, el gobierno plantea vacunar a la mayor cantidad posible de gente con la primera dosis, para adquirir mayor inmunidad comunitaria, y en todo caso estirar la aplicación de la segunda. Esta idea, ya fue divulgada también en varios países de Europa, incluso en estos días salieron varias notas en diarios importantes donde los expertos aseguraban que era la mejor opción para enfrentar la falta de stock disponible.
Carla Vizzotti, la ministra de Salud de la Nación, dijo en radio La Red: “Hay varias jurisdicciones que registraron aumento de contagios comparativo con las últimas semanas, el día de ayer hay que evaluarlo en el contexto, un solo día no es tendencia, hoy es feriado, hay que hacer el promedio semanal, pero las regiones más pobladas han tenido más casos de coronavirus”, por lo que el gobierno en su conjunto está en alerta, y esta es la segunda cuestión a plantear: ¿Qué hacer si aumentan los casos y no hay vacunas disponibles?.
Es claro que ya la fase 1 no es posible como lo fue el año pasado, el malestar social, sumado a la crisis económica es algo que el gobierno mira muy atentamente, sobre todo después de lo sucedido en Formosa cuando se volvió a la cuarentena total. Por eso, se está evaluando restricciones por franjas horarias, y en la medida que lleguen más dosis de vacunas, apuntalar los distritos con más casos.
No es que se descarte la segunda dosis, sino más bien que la propuesta es diferirla, como hicieron el Reino Unido o Canadá, para lograr la mayor cantidad de vacunados, y tener lo menores efectos económicos adversos, pero la idea del gobierno es dar las dos dosis: “Se van a dar dos dosis pero se va a diferir la segunda (dosis) para vacunar a más personas. Esto disminuirá los casos fatales. Mañana se definirá junto al resto de las provincias y a Nación”, destacó Vizzotti.
La realidad se va imponiendo, y ante la imposibilidad de un cierre total, las restricciones focalizadas y la apelación al cuidado de las personas en los lugares de reunión o en la vía pública esperan que surta el efecto de controlar la circulación del virus en el marco del aumento progresivo de inmunizados. Por eso Vizzotti recalcó que: “se deben fortalecer los cuidados, mantener la distancia de dos metros, usar barbijo, reforzar el lavado de manos y en los lugares donde se pueda, mantener reuniones al aire libre o sí o sí en ambientes ventilados”.
Por último, y respecto al turismo, la decisión del gobierno es tajante, se va a desalentar el turismo externo y alentar el interno como forma de evitar que nuevas cepas ingresen al país. Sobre todo, se va a limitar el turismo a países con cepas nuevas, y se va a confinar a las personas que vuelvan de allí. Por ahora no hay circulación en el país de estas variantes, por eso se quieren tomar medidas preventivas lo antes posible, y evitar que suceda lo del año pasado.
