San Luis prohibió los test de detección para Covid-19 de venta libre
Lo hizo mediante una resolución el día miércoles. Explicaron que su uso es solo para Laboratorios de Análisis Clínicos.
Hace algunos días la Administración Nacional de Medicamentos, Alimentos y Tecnología Médica -ANMAT- había autorizado la producción y distribución de detectores de Covid-19 para venta en farmacias. Sin embargo, la iniciativa no prosperó en la provincia.
El pasado miércoles, el Ministerio de Salud puntano emitió un comunicado donde se prohíbe la venta libre de estos kits. En el escrito manifestaron que “son de uso profesional exclusivo y excluyente, y deben realizarse en Laboratorios de Análisis Clínicos habilitados por la autoridad de aplicación”. La resolución gubernamental salió en el Boletín de este viernes.
Las autoridades sanitarias defendieron sus posturas usando consideraciones dadas por ANMAT el año pasado. La misma explica que estos dispositivos, pensados para la detección del virus SARS-CoV-2, son considerados productos médicos para diagnóstico de uso in vitro. Asimismo, la ANMAT explicó hace más de un año que deben utilizarse en condiciones adecuadas para que el resultado sea el correcto.
Las autoridades sanitarias puntanas señalaron que todos los test para COVID-19 que se encuentran actualmente disponibles son de uso profesional exclusivo y deben realizarse en condiciones e instalaciones adecuadas.
La ministra de Salud, Silvia Sosa Araujo, sostuvo que si las pruebas se hacen por fuera de condicione específica os resultados podrían ser poco fiables o falsos. Incluso mencionó la posibilidad de que algunas pruebas se adulteren.
En consonancia con la provincia, el gobierno bonaerense también prohibió los test de detección de venta libre, amparándose en argumentos similares.
El presidente de la Cámara de Farmacias de San Luis, Ricardo Barañano, se mostró en desacuerdo con la venta libre de los kits. En este sentido, expresó: “Mis opiniones son particulares, mas allá de que la compartimos con muchos de nuestros colegas: no estoy de acuerdo con la venta del test rápido y aclaro que tiene algunos inconvenientes”.
Además, Barañano mencionó una serie de riesgos: “Es un test que lo tiene que aplicar una persona que esté preparada para eso. Uno no sabe realmente si la persona que lo compra va a recurrir a un bioquímico, y esto puede llegar a desordenar todo el control que está haciendo el Estado sobre la enfermedad”.
Otro de los peligros mencionados es la posibilidad de falsos negativos en personas contagiadas por un mal uso del testeo. Por último, mencionó el peligro de tirar residuos patológicos en espacios domésticos, cuando son muestras biológicas que deben ser destruidas de manera específica.
