Falleció la mujer accidentada en el Hospital San Luis

Se trata de Sixta Díaz, de 78 años. Hace días una chispa incendió su equipo de oxígeno mientras estaba internada por Coronavirus.

El Hospital San Luis fue denunciado por la familia de la víctima.

Hace una semana Sixta Díaz resultó gravemente herida. Se había presentado al Hospital San Luis con un cuadro de Coronavirus, por el que fue internada con oxígeno. Al cuarto día de tratamiento había signos de mejoría en esta abuela de 78 años, pero un accidente empeoró su situación.

Según relató Agustín Nievas, uno de los nietos de la mujer, unos empleados de la empresa San Luis Sapem ingresó a la sala donde estaba internada Díaz para cortar un caño de calefacción. Al hacerlo, una chispa saltó a la cama e incendió a la mujer y su equipo de oxígeno.

El accidente quemó el pecho, la cara y los brazos de la mujer. Incluso lastimó sus vías respiratorias, ya comprometidas por estar atravesando un caso de Covid-19. Por las secuelas debió permanecer en coma farmacológico y con respirador, tras presentar fallas hepáticas y renales.

Por las heridas ocasionadas Sixta falleció el viernes por la tarde, debido a una insuficiencia cardiopulmonar mientras le practicaban una hemodiálisis.

El mismo Nievas aseguró que su abuela era una persona sana. “Mi abuela nunca tuvo problemas, siempre fue muy activa. Mientras la cuidaba, iba al baño sola, se sentaba a tomar el desayuno, comía sin problemas y hasta hablaba por teléfono. Estaba evolucionando bien a la enfermedad”, explicó.

El mismo día del accidente los médicos aseguraron a la familia que si la mujer mejoraba su cuadro respiratorio podía continuar su recuperación en su domicilio. Minutos después todo fue tragedia.

La familia denunció que desde el Hospital no tuvieron ninguna comunicación ni les explicaron lo sucedido, por lo que decidieron denunciarlo. En cuanto a la empresa San Luis Sapem, Nievas contó que solo le hablaron para hacer un arreglo si la familia no los denunciaba.
