La medida fue tomada en rechazo a la suspensión de las exportaciones dictada por el Gobierno. El cese comienza este jueves y terminará el 28 de mayo.
Apenas iniciado el martes, la Comisión de Enlace de Entidades Agropecuarias convocó a un «cese de comercialización» de carne. La medida aplica desde el jueves y durará una semana. El disparador fue la suspensión de las exportaciones que el Gobierno anunció recientemente.
La reunión de la Comisión fue en carácter de urgencia: ahí los representantes de cada agrupación concordaron dejar de comercializar todas las categorías de hacienda vacuna. Esto implica que desde las 00:00 del jueves, ningún comercio recibirá carne.
La Comisión de Enlace de Entidades Agropecuarias nuclea a los siguientes organismos: la Confederación Intercooperativa Agropecuaria, las Confederaciones Rurales Argentinas, la Federación Agraria Argentina y la Sociedad Rural Argentina.
Aún resta conocer los alcances de la medida, que serán explicados en breve. Sin embargo, los productores ya manifestaron su disgusto por el cierre de las exportaciones, ya que entienden que perjudicará a todo el país. Históricamente, el agro fue una de las principales fuentes de divisas extranjeras para nuestro país.
Dardo Chiesa, coordinador de la Mesa Nacional de Carnes, advirtió: «La suspensión de las exportaciones de carne por 30 días mata a la ganadería y provocaría «500 mil puestos de trabajo menos» en el sector». «El Gobierno no se da cuenta de lo que significa la industria de la carne en la Argentina», manifestó Chiesa.
