San Luis aprobó la Ley de Procuraduría de Género

El proyecto «Procuraduría para Víctimas de Violencias de Género» fue aprobado por unanimidad en la Cámara de Diputados provincial. La misma brindará asistencia, contención, asesoramiento legal y patrocinio gratuito mujeres y personas LGBTQ+ en situación de violencia por motivos de género. 

El año pasado hubo 270 femicidios en nuestro país.

La provincia sancionó una ley esencial para mejorar la contención hacia las víctimas de la violencia de género: un mal que traspasa culturas, clases sociales e ideologías políticas. En nuestro país las cifras son preocupantes: el año pasado se registraron 320 muertes violentas de mujeres, 270 de ellas caratuladas como femicidio.

En este contexto, la creación de la Procuraduría para Víctimas de Violencias de Género responde al objetivo de construir una sociedad más justa y libre de violencias. Desde la Secretaría de la Mujer, Diversidad e Igualdad, afirman que toda transformación cultural requiere del marco legal correspondiente. El Estado debe acompañar este proceso en todas sus instituciones.

Ayelén Mazzina, de la Secretaria de la Mujer, Diversidad e Igualdad, manifestó: “Celebramos esta Ley porque es reflejo de la importancia de un abordaje de las violencias por motivos de género desde los tres poderes del Estado, y desde una perspectiva de derechos. Si bien es cierto que venimos acompañando y asesorando a mujeres y diversidades, a través de patrocinios y asesorías desde antes de mi gestión en la Secretaría, necesitamos que el acceso a la justicia y derechos sea efectivo; y por eso resulta fundamental esta institucionalización de una política pública».

Mazzina afirmó que se trata de una Ley que garantiza acceso a derechos y que viene a resolver problemáticas comunes, sin depender de voluntarismos personales. Asimismo, agregó: “Como expresé en reunión de Comisión, creo que tenemos que apropiarnos de los proyectos de ley, la transversalización de la perspectiva de género sea una realidad y porque es nuestra responsabilidad poder dar respuestas a la sociedad”.

Quien también se expresó al respecto es Fernanda Spinuzza, diputada provincial y presidenta de la Comisión de “Promoción de la Equidad de Géneros y Juventudes”. Spinuzza destacó la labor del gobierno provincial, encargado de desplegar una estrategia integral desde hace 6 años. Para la diputada la provincia abordó la cuestión de género desde una perspectica de derecho, que conlleva modificaciones normativas y políticas públicas. El resultado será una sociedad más equitativa y menos violenta.

Además, Spinuzza agregó: “Se trata de una decisión de todo nuestro espacio político que no hace más que interpretar y dar cauce a las luchas y demandas de miles de colectivos, de mujeres y de disidencias, que vienen poniendo su cuerpo y muchas veces sus vidas, en la construcción de un mundo mejor».

¿Qué hará la Procuraduría?

Brindará asesoramiento legal y patrocinio gratuito a mujeres y personas LGBTQ+ en situación de violencia por motivos de género. También podrá monitorear los procedimientos administrativos y/o judiciales, que surjan de cada caso. El objetivo de este ente es salvaguardar a esas personas y restablecer la relación de igualdad entre víctimas y victimarios.
