Los encuentros serán retomados el 30 de mayo, cuando se levanten las medidas anunciadas el día de ayer.
En consonancia con las medidas anunciadas por el Gobierno, AFA suspendió sus competencias locales, incluidas las semifinales de la Liga Profesional. Ambos partidos estaban previstos para el sábado y el domingo en San Juan.
La decisión tomada por AFA incluye a todas las categorías del fútbol local. Por eso el Club Sportivo Estudiantes y Juventud Unida volverán a competir por el Federal A al levantarse las medidas a fin de mes.
La Asociación del Fútbol Argentino comunicó: «A fin de acompañar las medidas sanitarias anunciadas por el Presidente Alberto Fernández en el día de ayer, tendientes a combatir la segunda ola de la pandemia COVID-19 que estamos viviendo, ha decidido suspender la programación de partidos en todas las competencias locales que organiza desde las 20 horas del día de hoy hasta el domingo 30 de mayo de 2021 inclusive».
Y agregó: «En este momento donde nuestro querido país debe hacer un esfuerzo extra para controlar esta angustiante pandemia que nos aqueja, la AFA y todos los que componemos el fútbol acompañaremos una vez más a las autoridades nacionales suspendiendo la programación de partidos correspondientes a todas las competencias locales por el lapso de 9 días».
El objetivo del ente deportivo será reprogramar las fechas en conjunto con cada una de las provincias, en función de su situación epidemiológica. Remarcaron que intentarán jugar los partidos en los escenarios originalmente previstos.
