Sputnik-V, AstraZeneca y Sinopharm: Conicet estudiará como se combinan las vacunas
Los estudios comienzan la semana que viene. Intentan inmunizar a la población antes de que la Variante Delta circule comunitariamente.
Desde el comienzo de la pandemia el país no autorizó todas las vacunas disponibles contra el Coronavirus. Las 3 que llegaron en mayor cantidad son la rusa Sputnik-V, la china Sinopharm y la inglesa AstraZeneca. Como la disponibilidad de dosis cada una de las vacunas tuvo intermitencias, desde Conicet La Plata comenzaron a estudiar la viabilidad de la interacción medicamentosa. 3 aspectos serán tenidos en cuenta en los análisis: seguridad, eficacia y respuesta inmunológica.
La investigación surge a raíz del riego de que la Variante Delta avance en el país: desde el Ministerio de Salud se prevé que comience la semana que viene. En consecuencia, deben acelerar los esquemas de vacunación en el país.
Los investigadores provienen del Laboratorio de Salud Pública de la Facultad de Ciencias Exactas de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. La sede platense fue la designada por el Ministerio de Salud para llevar adelante el proyecto. En el mismo, los investigadores examinarán las muestras de sangre que extraigan de pacientes voluntarios para analizar los anticuerpos resultantes de la combinación.
Las muestras provendrán de voluntarios ubicados a lo largo de toda la provincia de Buenos Aires. Las combinaciones posibles son 6: AstraZeneca-Sinopharm, AstraZeneca-SputnikV, -SputnikV-Sinopharm, SputnikV-AstraZeneca, Sinopharm-Sputnik V y Sinopharm-AstraZeneca. También participarán grupos que ya tengan su esquema completo con la misma vacuna.
Uno de los responsables es Guillermo Docena, investigador del Conicet en el Instituto de Estudios Inmunológicos y Fisiopatológicos. «Nuestro espacio será uno de los nodos articulados por el Ministerio de Salud de la provincia de Buenos Aires, y recibiremos muestras para su análisis», señaló.
