Se incendió una fábrica en San Luis capital

Ocurrió en el predio de Sinteplast, ubicado en el Parque Industrial Norte. Hubieron varias explosiones y los daños materiales fueron elevados, pero no hubo ninguna víctima.

Ayer por la noche, cerca de las 21:00, advirtieron que cerca de la fábrica de Sinteplast emergía un extraño humo: se trataba de un foco en un campo aledaño. Minutos más tarde, las llamas ingresaron al predio de la firma de pinturas y afectaron la nave de resina. La enorme cantidad de material combustibles hizo crecer las llamas hasta hacerlas incontrolables. «La planta de resina desapareció», explicó el gerente de Sinteplast, Eduardo Mirengo.

Mirengo sostuvo que el campo donde iniciaron las llamas está desocupado y suele incendiarse. Como era domingo y no se trabajaba en la fábrica, el fuego se propagó. Afortunadamente solo había personal de seguridad: no hubo víctimas ni heridos ya que los 3 empleados estaban lejos del perímetro afectado.

Los trabajos en el lugar duraron tres horas: Bomberos Voluntarios y de la Policía, personal de Defensa Civil Municipal y miembros de San Luis Solidario controlaron las llamas y evitaron que se propaguen a otros establecimientos. El jefe de Bomberos de la Policía de San Luis, Rafael Godoy, sostuvo que para las 2:00 del lunes las llamas habían terminado y solamente quedó una dotación para hacer la guardia de cenizas.

De vuelta a producir

Mirengo manifestó que los daños más graves fueron en el sector de estacionamiento y en el depósito de residuos peligrosos. Para el gerente los daños en ese sector son totales: ya comenzaron los peritajes para calcular los daños materiales, aunque se estiman en millones de dólares.

Sin embargo, lograron resguardar la planta principal, donde realizan la producción de pinturas. En ese sector no hubo daños y los empleados trabajan con normalidad.
