¿Qué pasó el domingo?: las Elecciones en San Luis, al detalle
Desde La Voz Puntana te ofrecemos un resumen de lo acontecido en las urnas este domingo, en el marco de las PASO y las PAS 2021. ¿Cómo quedó el escenario electoral de cara a noviembre?
Pasó el domingo y con ello la carrera electoral superó una nueva etapa: finalmente se perfilan los candidatos que competirán por un lugar en la legislatura provincial y nacional. Al momento de escribir esta nota, contamos con el 97,57% de las mesas escrutadas: si bien los resultados no son finales, las diferencias son inamovibles desde que ayer por la noche se delinearon las tendencias de voto.
Según la Junta Nacional Electoral 264.661 puntanos se acercaron a las urnas: es el 69% del padrón. Las bajas en la participación pueden explicarse, en primer lugar, por la no obligatoriedad de una de las instancias: las PAS, que no obstante tuvieron elevada participación en las internas radicales. En segundo lugar, la pandemia por Coronavirus también atentó contra la participación popular, que se situó por debajo del promedio habitual.
Desde la llegada del Covid-19 no se habían celebrado elecciones en el país: para los puntanos fue la primer oportunidad de expresar su descontento y su insatisfacción en las urnas. Los votos en blanco y nulos alcanzaron el 6,3% del total: son 16.782 vecinos que manifestaron su descontento ante el estado de cosas y el accionar de nuestros representantes.
¿Qué se votó?
En nuestra provincia presentaron 10 boletas de precandidatos a diputados, con el objetivo de ganarse un lugar en las elecciones generales de noviembre: para tal fin las listas debían superar el 1,5% de los votos válidos emitidos en ese distrito.
Asimismo, se votaba la renovación de 23 diputados provinciales: 10 del departamento Juan Martín de Pueyrredón, 3 de Junín, 3 de Gobernador Dupuy, 3 de Coronel Pringles, 3 de Belgrano y 1 de General San Martín. En la cámara alta se liberaban 4 bancas de senadores provinciales en los Departamentos Ayacucho, Belgrano, General Pedernera y General San Martín.
Hay que recordar que en la provincia se celebraron dos instancias paralelas: por un lado las PASO, de carácter obligatorio, y por otro las PAS, que enfrentaban las candidaturas internas de las diferentes alianzas. Ambas instancias se votaron por separado. Para los votantes significó pasar 2 veces por el cuarto oscuro en un mismo día, en un proceso poco orgánico y que merece una revisión.
Los resultados
En la provincia se escrutaron 1239 mesas. El ganador fue el Frente Unidos por San Luis, encabezado por Claudio Poggi y Karina Bachey: fue votado por 118.774 puntanos y se quedó con el 46,9% de los votos. El frente opositor festejó la victoria en las primarias en la sede de Unidos por San Luis, situada en calle Ayacucho. Claudio Poggi se mostró contento y manifestó: “Nos sentimos honrados por este apoyo que nos ha dado el pueblo de San Luis”.
La segunda alianza fue Fuerza San Luis: al frente oficialista, encabezado por María José Zanglá y Eduardo Mones Ruiz, lo votaron 94.574 personas y obtuvo el 37,41% . María Angélica Torrontegui, presidenta del PJ provincial, dijo ante los micrófonos: «Tenemos que comprender el mensaje de las urnas».
La polarización electoral en la provincia dejó sin efecto a los demás frentes: ninguna otra alianza pudo alcanzar siquiera el 4% de los votos. La tercer fuerza electoral fue el frente Juntos, encabezada por el Diputado Nacional José Luis Riccardo y Elvira Quiroga: obtuvieron el 3,8% de los votos. Riccardo superó las internas de la UCR con soltura, sacó casi un 50% más de votos que su contendiente, Hugo «Pipo» Rossi.
El caso de la UCR merece atención: en las PASO fueron votados por 16.223 personas, contando las dos listas que se enfrentaron. Sin embargo, en las PAS -instancia no obligatoria donde se definen candidaturas internas- la UCR superó los 28.000 votos. La implementación de esta elección había despertado controversias en la provincia, sin embargo la participación fue elevada. Algunos votantes se quejaron, ya que en muchos casos no se les indicó la presencia de este segundo cuarto oscuro.
Alfonso Vergés y Berta Hortensia Arenas quedaron como la cuarta fuerza en estos comicios: Todos Unidos superó el piso electoral y obtuvo el 2,0% de los votos gracias a 5166 votantes. Esperanzado de cara a noviembre, Vergés sostuvo: «No olvidemos que todo se puede revertir».
El quinto lugar fue para el Frente de Izquierda y de los Trabajadores. La lista Unidad con Johana Gómez y Juan Zárate a la cabeza se quedó con el 1,7% de los votos, superando a la fórmula de Ornella Dezzutto.
