Merlo: una jubilada fue estafada con el «cuento del tío» y perdió los ahorros de toda su vida

La mujer fue contactada de parte de su hija, y le pidieron que envíe sus dólares a un supuesto contador del Banco Nación. Perdió los ahorros de toda su vida, estimados en más de once millones de pesos.

Las estafas virtuales siguen en auge: esta vez fue el turno de una jubilada de Villa de Merlo, de 85 años de edad. La mujer fue engañada con el «cuento del tío»: la contactaron y le pidieron que envíe los ahorros de toda su vida a un supuesto contador del Banco Nación, por indicación de su hija.

La Policía informó que ni la mujer ni su familia hicieron la denuncia formal. Sin embargo, el yerno de la víctima se presentó en la sede policial e informó que la jubilada había sido víctima de un estafador: lo describió como un hombre de 1,80 de alto y una calvicie pronunciada. Asimismo, el yerno dijo que se presentaría en los medios de comunicación para alertar a los vecinos sobre lo sucedido.

Una de las nietas de la mujer le explicó a El Corredor Noticias como se produjo el robo: su abuela fue contactada por teléfono por una persona que se hizo pasar por la hija. La voz del otro lado le contó que estaba en el Banco Nación y que en breve iba a dirigirse a su vivienda, ubicada en la Avenida El Ciprés, un empleado de la entidad para buscar los dólares que tenía, supuestamente porque los billetes iban a dejar de circular.

Luego de que el sujeto tomó el dinero, que reunía los ahorros de una vida, la mujer advirtió que se le cayó uno de los fajos de billetes. Ante la sospecha llamó a su hija, y confirmaron que se trató de una estafa. Alejandra Escobar, comisario local, manifestó: “Este tipo de maniobras desgraciadamente son frecuentes en nuestra localidad y ya hemos recibido otras denuncias donde las personas que concretan el retiro del dinero no coinciden en su descripción”.

Además, la policía les advirtió sobre estos peligros a los jubilados, principal blanco de los ladrones profesionales. «No den sus datos personales, ni números de cuentas o CBU a personas desconocidas, ni tampoco les brinden información que puedan usar en su contra como por ejemplo que viven solas”, cerró Escobar.
