San Martín estrenó cancha remodelada ante su histórico rival y aunque terminó con diez jugadores, se llevó los 3 puntos y festejó junto a su gente. Más de 3.500 personas presenciaron el partido.

La fiesta del fútbol, alegría y pasión popular, volvió a enfrentar a los dos grandes de la Villa de Merlo. Tras más de un año y medio, la Liga del Valle del Conlara puso en cancha al Club Casino y a su histórico rival, el Club General San Martín. En un marco ideal, a dos hinchadas y con más de 3.500 espectadores los vecinos de la villa volvieron a sentir en carne propia la emoción de alentar a sus clubes.

La victoria fue para San Martín, que ganó 1 a 0 con gol de Facundo Ferulano a los 16 minutos del segundo tiempo. 10 minutos después el goleador vio la roja y el equipo dirigido por Miranda debió resistir con un jugador menos. El «timbero» fue comandado por Walter Di Diego: aunque fue a buscar el partido, la falta de precisión del equipo le jugó en contra.

Por su parte, el partido de Reserva entre ambos equipos terminó en un empate 1 a 1. Para el final de la jornada, los hinchas del verde dejaron el estadio en paz. Mientras tanto, el rojo se quedó con su gente a celebrar la tan ansiada victoria.
