La propuesta estuvo a cargo de docentes de Escuelas Públicas Digitales y miembros de la Universidad de La Punta.

El viernes por la tarde docentes de Escuelas Públicas Digitales y miembros de la Universidad de La Punta brindaron una capacitación en el Barrio La República de la capital puntana. La jornada estuvo a orientada a capacitar a los vecinos para reutilizar la basura como material de construcción: es una alternativa de bajo costo y amigable con el medio ambiente.

La capacitación contó con la participación de los merenderos del barrio y algunas de las ideas propuestas fueron los ecoladrillos, los termos solares y las macetas ecológicas. También colaboraron la Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Parques, la Municipalidad de San Luis, agrupaciones y asociaciones barriales.

María Inés Roggia, una de las docentes de Escuelas Públicas Digitales, expresó: «La función nuestra es venir al lugar, capacitar y charlar con la gente». Roggia integra el equipo de 7 docentes que trabajan en los procesos de reconversión de basura a materiales de construcción. Desde la organización señalaron que el objetivo de estas jornadas es que los vecinos aprendan a construir sus propios materiales ecológicos, y que esos procesos puedan extenderse dentro de la comunidad.

También fueron consultados los vecinos tras la charla, quienes resaltaron el valor de pasar estas noticias dentro de la comunidad y la importancia de tener mayor conciencia medioambiental. «Nos pareció super educativo, y ahora tenemos que esperar a que vengan nuevamente para seguir instruyéndonos», afirmó Gabriela Merenda, una de las vecinas del Barrio La República.
