Argentina alcanzó su máximo histórico de abastecimiento con energías renovables

La Compañía Administradora del Mercado Mayorista Eléctrico S.A -CAMMESA- informó que este tipo de energías cubrieron el 14,2% de la demanda nacional en septiembre. En el tercer trimestre del año se sumaron 5 proyectos de energía renovable en 3 provincias del país.

Las energías renovables en Argentina continúan consolidándose y creciendo, ayudadas por el gran potencial geográfico que el país tiene para recolectar este tipo de recursos. Según la Compañía Administradora del Mercado Mayorista Eléctrico S.A -CAMMESA- las energías de este tipo tuvieron un pico histórico de abastecimiento: durante septiembre cubrieron el 14,2% de la demanda nacional. De esta manera, supera los registros de julio -12,9%- y agosto -13,3%-.

El 26 de septiembre fue el día que mayor porcentaje de energía fue provisto por fuentes renovables: un 28,84% de la energía utilizada fue renovable. De ese total, un 67,65% fue por tecnología eólica, un 21,75% por fotovoltaica -solar-, 5,55% por pequeños aprovechamientos hidroeléctricos -PAH- y 5,05% por bioenergías.

Asimismo, el país registra tres meses de crecimiento continuo, en miras al objetivo para 2025: que el 20% de la energía usada en el país provenga de fuentes renovables. Esta meta fue sancionada en la Ley 27.191, que tuvo aprobación casi unánime del Congreso en 2015.

Nuevos proyectos

En el tercer trimestre del año se sumaron 3 nuevos proyectos de energías renovables, que suman 103,22 MW de potencia instalada al Sistema Argentino de Interconexión -SADI-. Se suman a los otros 15 proyectos aprobados este año, que incorporaron 569,4 MW. En total, en el país hay 182 proyectos operativos

En lo que va del año este tipo de energías cubrieron un promedio del 12,5% de la demanda energética total.

Ahorro de divisas

En Agosto se conoció que el 71,4% de las energías renovables que genera el país provienen de fuentes eólicas. En este sentido, la Cámara Eólica Argentina afirmó que además de cuidar el ambiente, este tipo de energía reduce unos u$s800 millones anuales en energía.

Gustavo Castagnino, presidente de la Cámara, manifestó: «Cuanta más energía renovable tengas en el país, vas a tener menos necesidad de importar o más posibilidad de exportar. Si producís más gas, más combustible, y tenés una participación creciente de las energías renovables, en este caso estamos hablando de la eólica, tenés más posibilidad de exportar esos combustibles porque vas a tener cubierta parte de la demanda».
